Anyway, some interesting trivia for the rest of you. If any of you bought the bonus track for A Thousand Suns, you know it's the remix of The Catalyst by contest winner NoBrain. What you probably don't know (and I didn't know until two minutes ago) is that having a bonus track on the album was not NoBrain's only prize. Linkin Park proceeded to contact NoBrain and he worked with the band over online video on an actual album track. The last minute of "When They Come For Me" is the product of this collaboration. I have a copy of the bonus track, which I can apparently listen to if I ever think to put the CD in my computer. But no, I had no idea that NoBrain and LP collaborated for that final coda part of "When They Come for Me." That's really f**king cool, because adding that part was a badass idea. I agree, but as many times as I've seen Robot Boy mentioned in a review as "radio-ready", I have to wonder if there's something I'm not smoking. Reviews are seriously thinking that should be a single? I don't hear it, either. Except for the first time on my home stereo, I've only played the album during my daily showers. (Not literally every single one of them, but close.) I have little concept of track length, then, of course, so I had no idea it's 4:30 long. It's always just seemed like a 2½-minute ballad-esque interlude more than an actual fully developed song. Also, never would've thought of this on my own, but I totally see where the YouTube video is coming from that compares the track to T.I.'s "What You Know." www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nMVCYp-zzA&feature=fvst

I finally got a chance to listen to the album yesterday and I am more unimpressed than I could have imagined. There's some good songs on there, but nothing blows me away like some of the tracks on previous albums did. I can see why "The Catalyst" was the opening single and I agree with "Waiting for the End." "Wretches & Kings" should be third and my choice for fourth would be "Burning In The Skies."

That makes it single material in my books.

I've listened to it twice more and it's grown on me. I like it better now than "Meteora" and maybe better than "Minutes To Midnight" I'm probably in the minority, but "Hybrid Theory" by far is my favorite album of theirs.

Why didn't they release "Burning In The Skies?". I hope they will release it eventually. It's a highlight of a less-than-stellar album

I like it. It's inventive. Their videos rarely ever disappoint.

I did like it but once I saw the first 20 seconds, that was kinda it...didn't really build from there. It was cool though and I love the track.

Hehe considering there were three consecutive posts pertaining to the video, a little reading might have helped you. Though it has nice to have the video player embedded.

Yeah I was more pointing out that a link to the video had already been posted. But I understand. I just thought you didn't know.

Love this. This is the most I've liked a Linkin Park song since Meteora. I'm surprised.

This song is the only song I actually listen to from the new album. "The Catalayst" is a tad boring in its first half, whereas this is just epic throughout.

I think it depends which singles they release in the future. Thus far, both singles IMO were more geared towards Alternative.

Honestly, I can't picture any song from this album really firing up Active if these haven't. The only one that comes close to their old sound is "Blackout" and even that is so dramatically different.

Yep agreed. I'd maybe put "Wretches & Kings" in there too, but that was more suitable for the earlier part of the 00's when the rock/rap style was more dominant. I'm not sure how well that would do, but then again it is LP. I'm really hoping "Burning In The Skies" gets a chance at some point. I'm sure that won't do well on Active, but it'll kill on Alternative.
