I like this (I like The Catalyst a whole lot better though, it's REALLY grown on me) does it sample something? It sounds like it samples something.
And Yay #1! :)

Sooo glad this hit #1. I've been playing it non-stop the past few months. I think it's one of their strongest singles to date.

Yeah it's a MAJOR grower. I didn't care for it at all at first but it just hits you.

Have they announced the next single? I hope it will be "Burning In The Skies"

"Burning in the Skies" is my favorite from their new album, which has grown on me a lot. Pen was right, albums like this are perfect for night driving.

Pen was right, albums like this are perfect for night driving. This album (and Jimmy Eat World's Invented) will always remind me of driving to The Girl's house this fall. (For some reason, though I've played both at either time of day, Invented will always be associated more with driving there during the day and A Thousand Suns at night.) Hadn't been over there in a long time until last night, so of course I put A Thousand Suns on. "Robot Boy" and "Jornada del Muerto" will forever remind me of arriving at her house. "Blackout" will always remind me of the winding, almost racetrack stretch of the way back.

This song has been on the outskirts of my playlists for the last few months, and just in the last two weeks, I've really become obsessed with it. The build-up to the end and all of the layered elements are fucking phenomenal.

I've always said nothing's confirmed until an adds date. I personally would prefer it if they pushed "Wretches".

But I don't know if releasing a slower-paced song right after a previous slower-paced song is a good move. "Burning In the Skies" is better though. The single gets released March 21, along with a video presumely. So it's a safe bet at the moment that BITS is indeed the next radio single.

I honestly wouldn't mind "Wretches and Kings" getting released.

I honestly wouldn't mind "Wretches and Kings" getting released. I think it should be the fourth single. Even if "Burning In The Skies" wasn't chosen already as the third, that would be my choice anyway.

Just to give an update: "Waiting For The End" rises one spot to #2 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart this week, it's 24th week on the chart. (It's #1 in audience impressions.) Chart run thus far: 37-26-23-12-10-7-6-4-4-3-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1-2-1-2-2-3-2. charts.bdsradio.com/bdsradiocharts/charts.aspx?formatid=6This truly blew "The Catalyst" out of the water.

In fairness, "The Catalyst" would have hung around a decent amount longer had this not charged in as its less polarizing replacement. I agree that this was clearly a more successful single, at least on alternative. Even though this has stuck around a lot longer than "The Catalyst" on active, "The Catalyst" probably got more airplay in a month on active rock than "Waiting For End" has garnered in its entire chart run.

I feel like this samples something... This post is wayyyyyyyyy back... But this song does remind me of "Runaway" by Kanye. (mashup) p.s. Sorry for bumping this thread.

This is finally falling down the chart, it's down to #8 on Mediabase. WB needs to hurry up with an adds date for BITS. ... "Waiting For The End" holds at #5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart this week, it's 28th week on the chart. Chart run thus far: 37-26-23-12-10-7-6-4-4-3-3-3-2-2-2-1-1-1-2-1-2-2-3-2-2-4-5-5. charts.bdsradio.com/bdsradiocharts/charts.aspx?formatid=6
