Who is the member that was always posting the sales and why did they stop doing it?

It is doubtful that any current member of Pulse has access to soundscan.
What happens is that the data that does get posted is found by resourceful members who search blogs and other sites, or perhaps may know someone who has it and bring back here for all of us to enjoy.

Yes, whenever it's available somewhere in cyberspace, a Pulse member tends to post it for us. I was hoping we'd get some numbers for this week :(

Oh so its not just one member that has access and posts it its a different person each week that has found it on other blogs?
Ah i guess then there is no sure way to tell if they will leak each week. It has been a while though hopefully they come back soon.

We have had spells of 2-3 weeks at periodic times throughout the year (holidays in particular) but it hasn't been this long before.

Sunday digital album sales for Eminem because of the VMA may be what will take the #1 away from Sara. That's what I was referring to; I think it will be very close.

It's a mystery.

I have a question. I think 2m might be able to answer it. I bought an album today that isn't being released until tomorrow. This store is notorious for putting albums on the shelf early, and I was wondering if the album I bought will count toward first week sales or if it's a street date violation. Can anyone shed some light on how this process works?

Thats why when you see first week albums sales on soundscan there is always a higher number on the total sales then what it did first week. Because like maybe 1-900 copies were sold in the days leading up to the sceduled release.

So, the one I bought will be counted for the cumulative total, but not the first week total? Yes, I believe so. 2m can clarify that i believe. Also, worldwide, i don't know anything about how they enforce street date violations and stuff. i mean i would think it's a street date violation but idk. I don't know when the last time i bought an album before the date scheduled. Not because i wouldnt, I just never find them on sale before the street date.

Yeah, most big albums get at least a few hundred sales before their first 'official' sales tracking week begins (Monday morning), your sale still counted in its overall sales though but it wont count for its first official week on the chart

Thanks everyone for answering my question. I was going to go out and purchase it again if it didn't count for first week sales. Good to know! I appreciate the help. :)
