Anyone know if she's doing another Christmas special for Fox? Doesn't look like it. :'( I was hoping another one would give us more Christmas songs.

"you're lookin' at country" is now on itunes!!! I got it!!!! PS. If that rehearsal picture of Carrie is a fun song like "Songs Like This" That would be interesting if Hillary Lindsay is singing the background vocals... Maybe she's doing a Play On medley...That would be really cool!

Judging by the pic, I'd say it's Quitter that is gonna be performed.

^^ A medley sounds like a great idea. I was hoping for SWISLY, but since it doesn't look like it from the picture, I'll be happy with a medley too (hopefully with SWISLY in the mix) :)

There are cars in the background, so I really don't have a guess.

This opening is going to be awesome! What if she's doing a medley of "Play On" songs??? Cap off the era type thing.... Or it could be something completely random! Regardless, it looks like she'll be rockin' out multiple times tomorrow night! At this point, I don't care about the awards... Carrie is going to make it all worth the three hours!!!

I guess Carrie confirmed on a radio interview that she will be doing MS....makes sense but I still want it to be something else. ETA: She will also be doing SLT with Brad and Keith! :o www.accesshollywood.com/_article_39494

It does make sense but... Ugh. BORING! Oh well, at least she's performing twice. I'm sure the opening will be killer.

A source exclusively told Access that the country cutie – along with Keith Urban and her co-host Brad Paisley – will open the show with her song, “Songs Like This.” I can't wait to see this!!! It's gonna be so awesome! :o It's good that Carrie gets to perform SLT as well, considering some might not enjoy Mama's Song as much... ETA: Is performing twice a good sign that she might actually take home an award?

I hope she does her ad lib thing in the bridge of "Songs Like This" with "White Liar" and "Single Ladies" that would be awesome! I could see her Keith and Brad performing the song really well! Brad and Keith are both great musicians.

That's actually the song I thought of when I saw that picture of Carrie, Brad, and Keith (with a banjo).

I'm very excited to see the Songs Like This performance. They could do a lot of fun things with that.
I'm also kind of happy she will be doing Mama's Song after all. While it's certainly not my favorite song or single of hers, it means a lot to her and I couldn't see her not performing it at an award show, especially with her mom in attendance. I hope she plays piano for her performance, similar to the way she does it on tour.

^Wait...So are they doing Songs Like This or just the Beverly Hillbillies song? either is great, but I'm confused now. I did LOVE the parodies last year! They were brilliant especially "Swine Flu" hahahahaha

McGraw presenting EOTY? I find that hard to believe. He is probably the categories' biggest all-time snubbie - for lack of a better word... Why would he agree to that??? He, in all respects, deserved a nomination this year!!! Oh well, if he wants to then let him I guess.....
I'm just going to wait for tomorrow night to see what happens, because I've seen many different possibilities posted here... "Songs Like This" opening, Brad/Carrie/Keith opening, Carrie performing "Mama's Song", Bev Hillbillies song....??? That's a lot! lol

Oh, please. Quit trying to make it seem like Taylor is the sole-reason country artists have to remix their songs to pop in order to have a substantial-sized hit on that format. Have you ever heard of Lady Antebellum? Shania Twain? Taylor remixed about 3 singles for pop radio before Lady A remixed NYN for pop. Carrie, however, had a hit with BHC on Top 40, and it wasn't remixed. Then Taylor came along and started remixing after that. Not to mention that Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes managed to have some crossover success without remixing. LeAnn Rimes did remix "Can't Fight The Moonlight" but that was from a movie soundtrack. Faith Hill's first crossover hit - "This Kiss" was definitely remixed for pop radio. I'm pretty sure some of her other songs were as well ("The Way You Love Me," at least). LeAnn didn't remix "How Do I Live" that I know of, but that's because it was already basically pop. It bombed at country radio. She did have a remixed version of "Can't Fight The Moonlight." Did she even have any other mainstream hits?

From her official fan club news page, Carrie to perform at the Thanksgiving Parade on CBS this year. I'm assuming this is the pre-taped performance she is filming on the 14th.

Both Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone picked out "You're Lookin At Country" as the song to download from the Loretta tribute CD.
