Is she releasing any more singles from "Play On"? It would be a shame if she lets "Quitter" go to waste. I know it is a little too pop, but I really love that song. You're not alone, I think Quitter would be great for country radio. After Mama's Song, imho, she should release an upbeat single. Quitter would fit the bill, and actually, it's alot more country than pop. The steel is all over it, not to mention the mandolin. jmo

"Quitter" is different from anything else on country radio. It's unique, similar to the uniqueness of "Stuck Like Glue", yet much more country. I would love to hear it when I turn on the radio.

They weren't "released" they were demos that she recorded through her teens and early 20s. Yes, I've heard them all and have them all on my ipod. She was a prodigy even then! BTW: I see myself twice in the Macy's Preview!!!

so they were just demo? Cause I saw the album covers and tracklisting, so I thought those projects were kinda concrete.

Thanks to Change07@OFC for the alert. A preview of the Macy's performance and interview. I hope this preview doesn't indicate that we won't be seeing TAPFU on the show....I don't care about the other songs at all to be honest.

Of course they would include it, being there, it was when the fans were most excited and they even had Maggie introducing it too. I'm positive it will be included.

Did she introduce it as part of the parade or is it possible they were recording it to show later on the Early Show closer to the release of the movie?

[/quote] I don't remember exactly, but all of Maggie's introductions had something to do with the parade. She would say something like, "It's buzzing outside, but inside the Hard Rock Cafe, Carrie fans are getting a special treat." Something of that sort. It was definitely being recorded in association with the parade. I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure it'll be included.

Did her songs with Ryan Tedder ever leaked? I think they are called "This Dance" and "Where Do We Go From Here".

Those sound like good guesses for Carrie :). I guess Hayley Williams would most likely be presenting to Taylor as well. Hmmm... it doesn't mention that the artists being honoured will be performing? I hope that's not the case because some collaborations with those performers would be very interesting to watch

If Darius does perform for Carrie, I'm assuming he'll do TH because that really is her only gender-neutral single from the "Play On" era...

Did not Darius say early on when he first started with country he wanted to cover AAG?

Yup, and IIRC, he actually covers AAG in his bar gigs. I wanna see that! When Brad P was on Country Countdown USA, he mentioned that the Lady Gaga-Lady A bit during the CMAs was Carrie's idea: www.countrycountdownusa.com/uploads/10-47_Brad4.mp3ETA: You guys heard about the private dinner with Mike and Carrie being auctioned off for charity, right? The starting bid was $7,500. Well, the auction is over and... holy crap! The dinner raised $48,000!!! They auctioned it off twice with the highest bidders at $24,000 each. Pictures of Carrie and Mike at the charity dinner (when the auction was held) are here: www.ottawacitizen.com/entertainment/Photos+Fisher+Underwood+fundraiser/3874769/story.htmlIs it just me or is Carrie getting more gorgeous? I mean, WOW!

I know Darius used to cover AAG and has praised Carrie consistently. I think Carrie being presented by Randy and Darius performing is accurate.

It started out kinda rocky. But, once she got into she got into it. Loved it. I spy Dudley swaying her hands mid-air at the 2:13 mark. jkjkjkjkjk. Garth Brooks on Carrie going the distance:What other recording artists do you see going the distance like you and George have done?
I don't know. They're all so young ... I can tell you the guys that are just as sweet as they can be. Keith Urban is one of the nicest, sweetest kids. I was a pallbearer with Brad Paisley at Johnny Russell's funeral. That kid is a sweet kid. That little 'American Idol' winner, just around the corner from us in Oklahoma, Carrie Underwood, is a sweet little girl. She's so quiet. When you're around her, she doesn't say two words and she gets out on stage and this big old voice comes out ... like Martina McBride! In other forms of music, I've got to tell you, I know this guy is real controversial, but as far as his talent, there's something about Eminem's whole approach to rhythm and everything is infectious. I find myself, when the girls are listening to that kind of stuff, actually not tuning it out ... really being entertained by it. Lady Gaga has something special, but in that world, how do you know how long people are going to be around? That's always been a characteristic of that world of fads coming in and coming out Calgary Herald on Carrie being the only Idol that matters:Still, Clarkson and Underwood's respective runs at multiple Grammy Awards, not to mention brisk album sales, gave Idol real credibility as a music-industry game-changer. (The thornier question, i.e., why it took a silly TV show for the music industry to "discover" Underwood, is a question that overpaid, overcompensated record executives will have to look in the mirror and answer for themselves.)

I've decided I want either Quitter or WCIS as the next single. Quitter would do best (IMO) on Country and would do some damage (a la UI) on HAC, while WCIS gives Carrie the best chance at a performance slot at the Grammys.

- The above has to be her best televised performance of 'Undo It'...ever.
- I caught the end of that CMT's 40 Greatest Songs Of The Decade countdown thingy today. Rascal Flatts gave some commentary on 'Jesus, Take The Wheel' and revealed that they had it on hold for quite some time. Thought that was interesting.
- I'm still torn between 'Someday, When I Stop Loving You' or 'Quitter' for the final single.
