Carrie Underwood Presents Check To ‘Save The Children’ Today in Nashville, Carrie Underwood presented Mark Shriver, Senior Vice President of U.S. Programs for Save the Children, a check from proceeds collected through ticket sales from the 2010 fall leg of her “Play On Tour.” 36 cents from every ticket sold during the September to December 2010 run of shows has been donated to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs, a donation totaling $140,125.68.
This charitable initiative was inspired by the “36 cents” written in the lyrics of Underwood’s album track “Change” on her most recent album Play On, which addresses how even the smallest bit of spare change that one might have can add up to make a difference and help “change” the world.

Very cute article!! It looks like the duet is true too! What kind of song does everyone want? I'm hoping for an upbeat, fun song. the duet should be about Huck's obsession with Carrie. Brad singing from the viewpoint of the Dad finding his son cute, and Carrie from the viewpoint of being the subject of the obsession.

Don't know if this has been posted, but Carrie does some Q&A's with Olay on their YT page. The short videos are on the right. www.youtube.com/olay

I have a question about something i probably already know what the answer going to be but i like to ask about it anyway. Is Carrie watching Idol this year and Will she be on idol again like the past couple years since she won season 4. I can't wait to hear this duet with Carrie & Brad.

Excited to hear about another Brad/Carrie duet. I wouldn't trust Whitney Allen. She's alot about speculation. I'm guessing she saw that SLT had been getting airplay and just jumped to conclusions.

Well, Carrie's about to come out of what has felt like a long hibernation. She's scheduled to sing the National Anthem to kick off the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) on March 2, 9:30am in Nashville. If she performs at Sony's General Jackson showboat show again like she has in previous years, she might even perform this mysterious duet with Brad [/wishfulthinking].
I sure do hope it's a duet and not like one of those comedy tracks Brad does on his albums with Little Jimmy Dickens and the rest of the Kung-Pao Buckaroos.

They probably scheduled the #1 party around another Luke/Marti/Kara writing session for the 4th album. And, I'd always just assumed that they were planning on a joint #1 party for 'Undo It' & 'Mama's Song'.

Carrie just blogged about the passing of one of the most notable members of her fan club. Kim Harkness, I remember this chick when the OFC first opened. She was a huge Carrie fan and Carrie wrote a lovely blog offering her condolences. She seems genuinely hurt by the girl's passing. For those who want to donate to the girl's memorial: funds.gofundme.com/2qmwcThis just proves how amazing Carrie is. :'( EDIT: The blog has been released, so I'll post it here:

Carrie is such a class act. It's nice to see someone practice what they preach. Just noticed that her hair is a bit darker in that 'Undo It' #1 party pic. From what I can see it's a good look. Carrie sure does like that scarf, doesn't she? Lol. LMAO. I've seen those boots before, too.

This should be interesting, Carrie's return to Ottawa as part of "Capital Hoedown" www.ottawacitizen.com/entertainment/Underwood+Chesney+sing+Capital+Hoedown/4371989/story.html?cid=megadrop_storyIn just its second year, the Capital Hoedown festival has snagged four of country music’s biggest stars. Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Miranda Lambert will lead the lineup for the three-day August show, which will also move this year to LeBreton Flats Park by the Canadian War Museum. “This year’s festival will have everything country fans want — great music in great surroundings,” said festival founder Denis Benoit in an announcement Wednesday. Benoit said this year’s Hoedown, to be held Aug. 11-13, will be North America’s biggest country music festival.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. The Bull has confirmed that Brad Paisley has finished recording a duet with Carrie Underwood for his upcoming album. It's called, "Remind Me" and is about a husband and wife who are trying to rekindle their romance after years of being together. Brad’s upcoming album “This Is Country Music” hits stores on May 24th.

Here's the ASCAP entry for 'Remind Me'. Written by Brad, Chris DuBois, & Kelley Lovelace.

Sounds so awesome! I sure hope it's his next single. This song will help him big with first week album sales. (Assuming it's as good as we think it will be. )
