The HD divx vid is available for download on my site. In the meantime, I've uploaded my HD cap to YT as well. Also, I have some stills I made. Thank you for posting ! That interview had me chuckling throughout. She's has a very sarky sense of humour, which is my favourite type: witty, yet cleverly comical without trying too hard. It has been quite rewarding to observe Carrie's growth in her presence as a performer on stage and her level of comfort with her celebrity through the years. This week's whirlwind of media has really made it pass much nicer !

But then why hasn't she been winning female vocalist awards the last couple years? Carrie is twenty-eight years old and she has already managed to match Tammy Wynette & Loretta Lynn in CMA FVOTY wins. One more win and she'll be tied with Reba McEntire & Martina McBride for the most ever wins in that category. Or even getting nominated for EOTY? The CMA EOTY snubs are a big clusterf**k. I think it may have something to do with my point below, though. I feel like Carrie just continuously pumps out showstopping performances and still doesn't exactly get reciprocated. At this point I don't think they really feel the need to recognize her with awards. Everybody knows she's the best. That sounds extremely stan-ish but it's the truth.

I just got back from the movie and I thought it was very well done. Very uplifting and inspirational for sure (I won't get into it too much as I don't want to spoil it for anyone).
Carrie's acting was surprisingly better than I thought considering some of the reviews I've read. I think some of those reviews picked things apart that weren't really there just to review her performance. I would say she only has MAYBE 10 minutes of screen time the entire film and I thought she did a good job with what she had. :) Also, It was really pretty cool seeing her on the big screen.

Nikki Finke says that SS is breaking out so far: very big showing from the Bible Belt. :) Could come in at #3 for the weekend!

I also saw the movie. I, too, was shocked by how small her role really was. I know she helped promote the movie because she's a big name, and I think she said maybe a couple of her fans will now see it, who may have not otherwise. I thought she was definitely fine. For her first role, I thought she played the part pretty well!
The movie as a whole was really good. It's not for everybody, but for an inspirational story, it's definitely worth seeing.

I had a feeling her role would be small since she was only on set for a week.

I found some new co-writes over at ASCAP: All were written alongside Chris DeStefano & Hillary Lindsey. I don't know much about this DeStefano person other than the fact that he had a hand in writing David Archuleta's 'Something Bout Love'. He's also co-written a fairly new song with Kacey Musgraves that I like well enough titled 'That's What I Call Crazy', you can listen to that one over here. I guess he's basically a David Hodges type.

When did "Girls Night Out" air? It was taped the day after the ACM Awards, and will be aired on CBS on Apr 22.

I haven't loved a Carrie album since Some Hearts, but I relistened to Carnival Ride and Play On the other night and... so many titles I recognized that I considered filler ballads were actually great songs. Unapologize?! Wow!!

. I guess he's basically a David Hodges type. Good with me. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) David Hodges helped bring us "What Can I Say?", and contributed to "There's a Place For Us" which got Carrie the GG nod. Soooooo I'm good with it! And whenever Carrie and Hillary write together, it's pretty much always spectacular, so this is looking promising. ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0270.gif)

Saw "Soul Surfer" last night and initially I didn't think I'd enjoy it that much. I went to see it for Carrie. But honestly, it was a really good movie, that truly is so inspirational and I'm so glad I went. Anna Sophia Robb (the girl who plays Bethany) is going to be a huge actress one day. As for Carrie's part, I wouldn't deem it "unnecessary" at all as some reviews have. As for her acting, I'll say this: she was so much better (really good, actually) during her serious scenes than she was during her "happy" scenes. I don't know if this is because I am so familiar with Carrie's personality as a person or what, but ultimately I think acting in movies is something Carrie should continue doing, but maybe take on a role that is even more serious. If that didn't make sense, sorry.
One thing I can say though, is Carrie taking that movie role after all the scripts she has received says so much about the person she is and it makes me admire her that much more. If you have the chance, go check it out guys.

![](http://i53.tinypic.com/1z4d00z.jpg) According to this chart, Soul Surfer has the highest per theater average this week! Not a bad opening, either.

Considering its budget was only $18 million, that's a pretty darn good opening weekend.

Mama's Song peaked at #2 in January. Arista would have released single #5 in February. The awards show was not until April, so the single would have been on the charts for a few weeks.

Carrie has received so much praise for the duet with Tyler that doing anything else would've been a lesser effect. Things worked out very well for her at the ACMs. The national and international PR she got by that performance was priceless.
