Yeah, but songs such as (off the top of my head) "All American Nightmare," "Hold On," "Invincible," & "Unraveling" failed to hit the top 40, but went top 10 on Active. Bands like Pop Evil aren't completely alien to Alt, even these days.

I think that's just a matter of three stations that think Pop Evil is worth playing, and didn't play all these others. Nick's station in St. Louis The Point is probably one of the guilty parties. Hinder and Sevendust each had their day on alternative when they could score top 10 and top 20 hits respectively ("Angel's Son" was Sevendust for all intents and purposes). I think if Adelitas Way has the same success on active this time around with "Sick" as they had with "Invincible", it'll probably chart similarly to this on alternative. Of all these bands listed Pop Evil and Adelitas Way are the two bands whose entire careers are based on radio success and Pro Wrestling placements for their singles so they're more likely to push radio super hard than these other bands who do MUCH better in terms of sales and touring. Obviously Pop Evil and Adelitas Way are also newer names so radio is a more important part of their promotion. And they haven't had as much time to wear out their welcome on alternative as the others.

Also, "100 in a 55" was kinda alt-leaning from the last album, and did well for the song it was, so maybe it helped open the doors on alt for thos. Plus, Top 40 isn't something to get crazy about.

they need to come up with a release date for War of Angels and if there's a time to do it, it's gotta be NOW!
