I've been watching some clips of "Since U Been Gone" and also "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" and I'm wondering something. Does WDKY(S) need to be such a big dance song that has her jumping up and down and entertaining like crazy, or does she have an excuse to just stand at the microphone and sing? Because in early promo for SUBG and most other performances (except for on tour), she's just standing at a mic stand but is capable of delivering an exciting performance nonetheless.
I'm not saying she should just stand around on tour, but for promo for this song, can she keep it in the original key and sing all the lyrics and not dance around? I think getting dancers for big promo slots would solve the problem. Thoughts?

I don't think dancers are necessary. Actually I bet when she does promo they will show videos of people doing the dance, that would be cool.

Spent a lot of this morning watching different WDKY video submissions. Not all are good, but it's cool that so many people are doing it. Listening to the song that many times made me believe in it even more. It's really great.
So if the EP is available for pre-order this Tuesday, I assume we'll get the tracklist. Yay!

Obviously not my intention to post that three times, but have tried deleting the excess posts multiple times to no avail because ProBoards is c**ting out on me, so I'm giving up. I'll take care of it when ProBoards allows it.

This may be an inappropriate question as it does not deal with the album but about Kelly's personal life. If so (or if it's deemed potentially inflammatory) just ignore or delete!
But does anyone have a clue as to Kelly's political leanings?

Another perfect performance of 'Stronger' from Miami last night- again taken down half a step but sung at the same speed with jumping during the chorus and the resurfacing of the "stronger", "taller", "lonely" fist-pumping colourful animations:

The only thing that bugged me was that the graphics/lyrics on the display were a few lines ahead (and throughout "Mr. Know It All" too).

'Kill' seems to be right around the corner before hitting radio: CHUM FM Toronto (HOT AC- Canada's most listened to radio station) has 'Kill' listed as their Friday Morning New Music song. They have the song streamed with a poll on the home page. www.chumfm.com/

Another decent quality (audio-wise) of 'Stronger' from the Z100 Jingle Ball at MSG:
Very good audio of 'Dark Side' from a Jingle Ball a few nights ago:

Several pages back people were posting the coors they have in relation to certain songs. Because I know people eagerly await every single post I make and you all have been dying to know what color I associate with each song, here you go.
Mr. Know It All - purple What Doesn't Kill You - Bright neon yellow Dark Side - Deep Green Honestly - various shades of pink/magenta/purple You Love Me - Light Blue Einstein - Red Standing In Front of You - Blue I Forgive You - Orange and blue? Hello - Bright green The War Is Over - Red and black Let Me Down - Gray and black You Can't Win - A ton of colors Breaking Your Own Heart - Brown? Alone - Pink Don't Be A Girl About It - blue, silly The Sun Will Rise - Orange
Anyway, those were some great performances. She is starting to nail WDKY! I hope she does some high-profile promo for this, because she is rocking it live now.

I was having such connection issues with this page that it never even loaded after I tried to post that post, so I never saw it, nor the botched censoring. I'm sorry to anyone that was offended by ProBoard's failure to censor out such inappropriate language.

So when is Kelly's first full concert to support the new album? I cannot wait to hear her perform some of the other new material, in particular - The War Is Over & Honestly.

So, I have been meaning forever to post a long song-by-song review of the album and I'm not likely to get to it soon. But while I love the album and think it stands up really well with her best albums, there is just one thing conspicuously missing, and that's that Kelly didn't write any of the ballads. Every prior album, we had at least one Kelly-written ballad that was a single and helped define the era emotionally - The Trouble With Love Is, Because of You, Sober, Already Gone. Don't get me wrong, I like the ballads on this album - the two straight-up ballads are pretty good (Breaking Your Own Heart and Standing In Front of You), the songs with some ballad elements are even better (especially Dark Side, but also The War Is Over and Honestly), and the two deluxe duets (The Sun Will Rise, Don't You Wanna Stay). And the Kelly-written songs like You Can't Win, Hello and Let Me Down are really, really good. But this era is missing a Kelly ballad. And that's a little disappointing after the preshows and leaks featured so many good, emotionally powerful ones - I Wish I Could Be Lonely Instead, I'm Not The Only One, Call Me, Song To You. That's one reason why this album may ultimately not produce a real ballad as a single.

(Checks liner notes) Ah, OK. Not sure why I thought she did not. I still think there were much stronger Kelly ballads that could have been included.

I will always love SIFOY. I just think it gets to such a real emotion of trying to convince someone of what they've been missing - and how close it's been all along. To me, the lyrics are classic Kelly. I doubt it'll be a single, but I'd love to see it in a movie. Feels perfect for film.

Lost was boring, and we'll get DEGUOM on an album someday. In other news, yay for dominating Idol radio airplay (again and again and again and AGAAAAAAAIN). 'Mr. Know It All' goes No. 1 at Hot AC By: Brian Mansfield
Many singles see their airplay slow during the holiday season, but not Kelly Clarkson's Mr. Know It All. Kelly's single tops USA TODAY's Hot AC airplay chart this week.
In addition, Kelly's not only got the No. 1 spot on the American Idol airplay chart, she's also got the 100th spot, as What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) comes in at the bottom of the chart.
Aside from that, there's not a lot of major movement. The seasonal songs continue to rank prominently -- with four tracks in the top 10 and new entries from Clay Aiken's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Elliott Yamin's This Christmas. Plus, Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams' version of Baby, It's Cold Outside cracks the AC top 40!
TW/LW
1 1 Kelly Clarkson, Mr. Know It All (13004) (#17 AC, #1 Hot AC, #11 Top 40) 5 8 Kelly Clarkson, My Grown Up Christmas List (2169) 7 5 Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson, Don't You Wanna Stay (1984) (#21 AC) 21 22 Kelly Clarkson, Since U Been Gone (642) 26 24 Kelly Clarkson, Already Gone (568) 34 34 Kelly Clarkson, My Life Would Suck Without You (460) 35 37 Kelly Clarkson, Behind These Hazel Eyes (442) 39 38 Kelly Clarkson, Miss Independent (396) 47 48 Kelly Clarkson, Breakaway (292) 49 45 Kelly Clarkson, Because Of You (278) 52 47 Kelly Clarkson, Walk Away (251) 54 46 Reba McEntire feat. Kelly Clarkson, Because of You (245) 66 82 Kelly Clarkson, O Holy Night (180) 94 90 Kelly Clarkson, A Moment Like This (67) 100 NA Kelly Clarkson, What Doesn't Kill You... (53) I wonder if her "I'll Be Home For Christmas" will start to get any play soon.

I imagine it would, unless RCA hasn't tried sending it out to radio. They should pick it up on their own, though.

OH MY GOD, SHE DID YOU CAN'T WIN! :'( :'( :'( So fucking excited to hear that live. WDYT is going to be amazing too, if it's anything like her first performance of it.
Thank you Kelly for finally letting go of Walk Away. Doing that would be completely useless.

Very excited for WDYT. A little surprised there's no new version of Already Gone.
Was holding out hope for a little something new, but this should still be good. I see they also included an interview.
