KC is pretty good about sarcasm/fecetiousness. Knowing so, I think her message is exactly what it is--she's not happy at all about the leaks but doesn't care. It is definitely implied that none of the leaks are on the album. Thus, the apathetic attitude.

I think she said it exactly like she meant it. What's the point in getting angry, it is already done. I don't think she is happy but she isn't going to lose her temper over it now.

I refuse to believe that none of the leaks are on the album. WDKY must be on there. If it isn't on there, it is kind of exciting, though, cause the material must be even better. However, I did not take what she said to mean that at all. I actually took what she said as the songs ARE on the album. Just how it reads, to me.

Why are people assuming the leaks are not finished? If these were the songs the record label handed out back in April, I would think they'd be the finished product.

Thank you. It was just a silly comment, but in seriousness, she was in Tahiti while we were all here freaking out over unfinished demos. Whatever she did, she clearly had a good time and is probably still a bit on a post-vacation high, therefore she is not pressed.

What I really noted was that she didn't actually address the issue by saying "those are unfinished, be sure to wait for the album to get the final version" or "there's no confirmation yet which songs will make the album." I almost think the only reason she mentioned it at all is because she saw the uproar from fans when she got back and checked her twitter, facebook, etc. so she kind of needed to say something to calm us down I guess.

OMG. WDKY.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( What a fantastic song. It's going to be heartbreaking if the album isn't full of quality songs like so many of the leaked demos have been. She could easily put together an album full of singles with the material that we've heard.

This is an assumption that has turned into a fact on Pulse and other places on the internet. We have absolutely no way of knowing the songs are unfinished. I doubt they are all unfinished, but that is just my personal opinion. I think these songs are completely done and the only difference on the album would be that they would be in HQ. I just don't want a bunch of Kelly stans upset if they make the album and the songs don't sound completely different because I really think some people are expecting that, as silly as it sounds.

D+D=U and WDKY are clearly unfinished to me as they cut off abruptly without a proper outro. Other tracks also don't sound polished enough to be final products.

I think they are all finished as far as recording is concerned, but the mixing on LMD is obviously off and on other songs there seems to be something missing (like if there was just one more instrument or beat added then the song would feel complete). IFY in particular has some quirky thing in it that I feel is probably going to be replaced by another sound. A song with no final mix still means the song is unfinished to me; I don't expect the songs to be completely different but even a seemingly small change can make all the difference. JMO of course but maybe that is where the confusion comes in...different people have different ideas of what 'finished' means.

That said, D+D is the only song that I think we absolutely heard in finished (and HQ) form. I can't imagine anything else that could be done with it - it sounds great, it's just the lyrics that are the problem for most. Only a complete rewrite would fix that.

(LOL, lum, I see you thought the exact opposite on D+D. The song obviously cuts off (as does WDKY on the beginning and end) but I figured that was just a result of the end simply being chopped off. It's no different from how snippets cut off the rest of the song, except this time we got almost the whole song. I doubt more than a couple more seconds is missing from each song.)

And did we ever get confirmation exactly which songs were on the promo CD? Supposedly there are even more songs out there that a few people have and that could leak sooner or later. There couldn't have been that many songs on there, could there?

So, I saw Kelly's Facebook post last night and thought the following things:
-Yay, she's speaking!
-She had a good vacation
-She knows about the leaked songs, isn't pleased, but isn't going to rant about it this time
-She's still excited about her fifth album

Then I went to sleep. Then I woke up and saw...others' responses to the post. Cynthia's was my favorite, natch.

Anyway, the post does not confirm or deny which leaked songs have made the album, nor does it imply which leaked songs have made the album. Period.

Also, I think the reason many think these more recently leaked songs are unfinished are because they are basically the same quality sound-wise as "Tell Me A Lie," which Kelly specifically said was a demo. TMAL seems more from the latter group of leaks than the former from 2010 (but I may be wrong about this, I'm not as insider-y as some). Having only heard TMAL, LMD, and DDY, I think they are all rather close, with LMD being the least close, simply because of the sound mixing. I don't expect significant changes on any of those tracks, nor do I need them (except...lyric changes to DDY ).

i love all the leaks! I think these last few are all album worthy! I think What doesn't kill you is a strong first single with maybe a little more production polish. D+D isn't too bad. Everyone is hard on the lyrics however I think they are a great attitude, relatable and in your face!

Exactly. What leaked seems to be a bunch of songs recorded for the album, which may or may not be in finished form and which may or may not have made the album.

BTW, if the leak is 50 tracks, then that's not a promo CD sent out to anybody by the label. Maybe the stations spinning LMD got a smaller CD, but no way a label circulates externally that many tracks.

In other words, we're back to making semi-educated guesses with very little real knowledge.

What we - and Kelly, and her band - deserve by now, though, is a firm, set-in-stone album release date. Labels commonly announce a release date before they release a single, before they announce an album title, sometimes even before they've finished recording. Fans can be a lot more patient once they have a date circled on the calendar.

No the one on radio isn't even the final version. The final version very few people have heard, but its out there.
