"Part of Me" was labeled as "Intro to Baby Blue Eyes" in the songs that I got this morning. So I don't know what that's about.

56 studio tracks to leak. Holy cow, that's insane. Edit: 49 if you don't count demos or alternate versions. That's still a ton. ^^ Wow, that's almost 4-5 full albums and years of writing. Poor girl :( Kelly's only released, depending how you count them, 59 songs on her albums (counting bonus and foreign bonus tracks but not remixes), plus a handful of other officially released tracks.

I was able to get all of the past bunch of leaks, but the new ones, I've been a fail at it... I haven't been able to download anything from the racehorse/3am batch to this date

All I Ever Wanted:Mrs. Right This is probably a dumb question, but what makes you think it's from AIEW? And we know that some of the 5th album ones weren't intended for Kelly to record.

IIRC, Mrs. Right was registered on ASCAP a month or so after AIEW was released. I don't believe that it's an AIEW reject for one second, but the timing of it all somewhat suggests that. Speaking of Mrs. Right, I listened to it the other day...what a terrible song.

Just listened to "Slamming Doors" and I LOVE how hard her voice sounds. It reminds me of her duet with Melissa Etheridge. And OMG @ her head voice :o I'd love to hear that live! Oh wait! he's mine already, How rudeBitchelly And yea, I was just wondering cause they listed all the other preshow stuff for album # 5, but that one for AIEW

Now all thats left is to leak are the Pre Show songs. I was surprised to see Trace Of Gold didn't leak in that batch. Maybe, that will be next.

WOW- so much to say, but I'll try to keep it brief: As a rule, it's amazing how much Kelly's voice has improved over the years. Her pre-Idol and 'Thankful'/'Breakaway' voices were MUCH, MUCH thinner than they are now, but still always rich with respect to that immaculate tone, soulfulness, versatility, and that unbelievable head voice. It seems that she almost relied on her head voice more so back in the day because her chest voice was not nearly as fully developed as it is today. About the latest batch of leaks: 'Baby Blue Eyes' is such a crazy-sexy, baby-makin' jam. Her near-growl/growl and melisma are simply on point. Her head voice is just out of this world- so velvety, rich, and smooooooooooth. The song is rangelly at her finest: G#5 at 2:50, 3:21 for example Her voice today with this song would be too much too handle, lol. I really do enjoy R&Belly.... 'What Happened Here': I don't care for the 70s, Motown sound, but the display of her R&B chops with the choir in the background was pretty refreshing. 'Bleed For Me': reminds me a bit of 'Anytime', but MUCH better. Clearly, this is a demo as her vocals are too low in the verses for the music, but...... I can't believe she wrote such a powerful ballad, lyrically and melodically, at such a young age. The chorus is so powerful when she belts "hold on this time". The bridge is immaculate ! Honestly, I feel 'Bleed' is superior to her critically-acclaimed 'Because of You', which she also wrote at a very young age. Of the songs leaked in the past few days, this might be my favourite. 'Getaway': another gritty, soulful uptempo- reminds me of a hybrid of 'Walk Away' and 'Come Here'. Her staccato vocals that transition into head voice are uber-sexy. I love the little F#5s she throws in the verses and choruses and pre-bridge. The bridge is really, really sexy as well- kind of caught me off guard, lol. 'Racehorse': probably my 2nd favourite of the latest batch of leaks. This song is VERY reminiscent of post-'Pill' Alanis Morrisette. I love her voice on the song: the brilliance of her vocal regret, "It's been too long since I felt the touch of anyone....far too long...I'm going home" sounds as if she has really has thrown in the towel. The utilization of the tabla, dramatic violins, and sitar in the instrumental with multiple sharp instrumental notes clearly evokes the mournful tone and sound often heard in the Indian and Middle Eastern ballads. The ending gives me serious chills..... 'Golden Child': I don't like the lyrics or melody at all and have nothing else to say, lol. '3AM': clearly the base for which 'Go' was modelled. The lyrics are pretty bad and boring to me..... 'Go' (demo): MUCH better than the official one used by Ford. Her vocals are raw, unprocessed without the heavy production used on the commercials and music video. The bridge is much better than the official version and love the extended ending. Good song, good melody, great vocals. 'Drowning': very cool ska, reggae-lite vibe, reminiscent of old-skool No Doubt, with a more melismatic vocal. 'Slamming Doors': I love the verses and choruses lyrically and enjoy the sassy attitude in her voices: very R&B/rock hybrid vocals with loads of range. Clearly, this is a demo as the background beat is highly underdeveloped, but nevertheless the chorus is stuck in my head "hit me....save me.....treat me". 'Too Much': I hate the melody, especially the opening verse, and the lyrics are just embarrassingly horrid, IMO. *SKIP* 'Where Are You Now': Very rough-sounding demo to me, but I like the acoustic sound, vocals, and the lyrics, but not the melody. Not only do the verses lack a real melody, but also the choruses are repetitive and go absolutely nowhere, IMO.... In summary, I MUCH prefer her voice today as I stated above and am quite impressed at just how much she has written over the years. IMO, Kelly is probably the only artist besides Chris Daughtry from Idol who is so natural and gifted as a songwriter. Among her female contemporaries, Kelly, as well as Lady Gaga, Pink, and Taylor Swift, are truest of the "artiste", IMO, in that these gals are continuously writing on their own without the need for organized/scheduled writing sessions or being handed others' work exclusively without writing on their own. When vocals are factored in, I have even more praise for Kelly and Pink for their vocal and songwriting abilities. These leaks over the months have further solidified my opinion that Kelly is the one and only vocal chameleon of her generation as not a single other artist today can so effortlessly and believably move from genre to genre while retaining all his/her vocal attributes (soul, power, tone, pitch, range, consistency, etc.). Although I am as guilty as anyone for listening to the leaked songs, one thing that constantly bothers me is the feeling that Kelly probably feels a bit "exposed". Likely, a significant chunk of her body of work illegitimately was released to the public in a form that she never intended. She never asked for judgement on these songs or for us to hear them (and here I and others are judging them, lol.) She truly is a victim for these unauthorized leaks, and I will always feel very bad for her, even as rewarding as these leaks have been for us, her fans.

Neally I agree with all of that! I LOVE the Go demo and teh extra adlib vocals that weren't in the final Ford version. She sounds really great. Bleed For Me is my fave too But you skipped one! Thoughts?

Reminds me of something off of "Junkie". <3 Chris- thanks for pointing out that I missed 'Part of Me: Interestingly, this song is sung almostly purely in head voice, much like 'If No One Will Listen' from 'Wanted', but with a much more R&B sound. During the piano opening, I expected a more somber, dramatic lyric, not a lighter yet introspective one. I love her vocal runs in head voice that she pulls from her bottomless bag of vocal tricks (and truly one of the best head voices in the business); however, I really do not feel the lyrics as they is, nor do I feel her connection to them, that she is usually praised for. So, other than the vocal runs, I don't care for this song. Sober, I hear the same thing too ! I am not sure which songs I am thinking of, but one that somewhat comes to mind is: On a different note, this article about 50 Cent's beef with his label is a quite interesting read: www.eonline.com/uberblog/b254970_dont_hold_your_breath_new_50_cent.html

neally, I really agree with the vast majority of your assessment, except I really like "What Happened Here." My favorite of the old leaks at this point are Baby Blue Eyes, Bleed For Me, Racehorse, and What Happened Here. Really thrilled to have those.
