I wonder if Merry Christmas re-entered the BB200? I just checked at Billboard.com and unfortunately it did not. Merry Christmas must have been close to re-enter the chart. It was in the top 150 at iTunes for most of the week and I suspect that it did rather good in stores as well. It made a leap forward on Billboard's Holiday Albums from 46-14! www.billboard.com/charts/folk-albums#/charts/holiday-albums?begin=11&order=position

16 TREY SONGZ PASSION PAIN & PLEASURE 20563 471979 Amazing consistent sales. Getting a Pop hit is doing wonders for him. Merry Christmas must have been close to re-enter the chart. It was in the top 150 at iTunes for most of the week and I suspect that it did rather good in stores as well. It was fairly close. The #13 holiday album charted at #191 on the Billboard 200.

However, I noticed that Weezer's Pinkerton re-entered the chart at #73 this week. Very happy that this classic album (definitely Weezer's best) is still getting noticed today, but does anyone know why it suddenly re-entered? It got the deluxe re-release treatment.

No new RIAA certifications again this week.
It's the 4th week in a row.

"What logical fan wouldn't be at least a little disappointed in a 700,000 copy sales drop in the 2nd week?"
That says it all right there- what other act in recent times sold anywhere close to enough to see a 700,000-unit drop in its second-week sales? Especially since the album more than likely will be a strong seller through year's end and probably hold up decently thereafter. I doubt that mega Taylor Swift fans are feeling all that disappointed right now.

Yeah-the question for me would be which logical human being wouldn't be completely thrilled that their artist is selling SO MUCH that they can dip 700K units and STILL be #1 and STILL sell more than most artists debut week in their second week. Taylor is killllllling.

1 million in 1 week 1.36 million total in 2 weeks probably in the 1.6 million range after 3 weeks Regardless of whether it was released on Monday or Tuesday, these would still be the numbers. As said many times before, the many first-day buyers out there that bought on Monday would have simply bought on Tuesday instead 2m you are the one who predicted she will sell 500k 2nd week. It would have dropped more but there was shitload of publicity about selling more then a million. and there r also a shitload of country music award shows. wtf

The difference is the AMAs, TPCAs, TGAs, and TVMAs take into account the whole industry. They are not specialized.
Yes, the argument that there are too many Country Music Awards is really weak. I don't think that at all. But those other 4 award shows you mentioned is for all genres.
