Out to Modern and 3A next week from Billboard. Haven't heard yet, but I'm still not quite finished with Impossible myself.
Billboard.biz has since reported this song is going to 3A while Anberlin will instead send Closer to rock radio.
EDIT: MODIFIED TITLE

This is the wrong choice Anberlin, the correct option was "The Art Of War".

I wanted "Closer" or "To The Wolves" but oh well.

Closer, To the Wolves, or Art of War would've been good for me.
Take Me (As You Found Me), though? Not a chance. I don't even have it on my iTunes anymore.
I think Pray Tell would be interesting as a single.

Best song on the album people, I thought this was the obvious second single.

Actually I agree with Phobes. I found this to be one of the ones I wanted to listen to again.

I would put this in the bottom half of the record in terms of my favorite songs (that doesn't mean much, having into account I like the album so much) and even from a commercial point of view, I doubt this is the ideal choice to alternative radio. In my opinion, they should have gone with "To The Wolves".
By the way, my preferred song on Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place is "Down".

I would have gone for "Closer" or "Pray Tell".

I think "Take Me (As You Found Me)" sounded like a weak hot AC-leaning single that would have bombed on alternative and thus not have gotten the push at other formats. I haven't heard this yet, but I'm assuming this is a better choice, especially given it was among the most commonly chosen alternatives. Sorry if I'm perpetuating the thread that we are planning on abandoning.

It was very soft, I agree. Hopefully this one rocks a little more. No perpetuating I don't think..... this came first and actually is talking about the songs in every post!

Well, "Closer" is clearly a much better choice than "Take Me (As You Found Me)". I'm hoping it does well, otherwise I can't see Anberlin establishing as a staple band in radio.

This should do better than Breaking, seeing as how Impossible will go recurrent fairly soon.

Pray Tell was my favorite, was hoping for that one.
But this is better than Art of War, it's a great song but the opening on that one is kind of slow for radio imo.

I finally listened to this, "Art Of War", and "To The Wolves", having already heard "Pray Tell". It's amazing how much better all four of them are than their originally reported choice for a second single. All of the above have a shot at a second top 10 from the album while "Take Me (As You Found Me)" probably would have barely reached the top 30. "Art Of War", "Pray Tell", and "Closer" sound like a poppier Dredg, which makes me particularly like those choices and "To The Wolves" sounds the most like what I would expect from them, which at least makes it a sensible choice.
For what it's worth, I'd rank "Impossible" a notch below each of these songs as well, but well above TM(AYFM).

Delay #1. "Breaking" was moved several times I recall.

Yeah, but I doubt this will be moved as often. This time they're not having to maneuver around a lead single that won't die. That's a pretty good problem to have, but it doesn't help an album have multiple hits.

Anyone think this is going to go at least Top 20 or flop?

Looking at the predict the peaks thread, everybody else's picks of ~#20 look a lot more likely than my optimistic prediction of #10. Listening to this song, it just sounds more like a hit than "Breaking", and "Impossible" took them out of one hit wonderdom, and it faded fast enough for stations to be able to add "Closer" in place of it so all those factors played into my prediction, but it's looking a little slow out of the gate for a future top 10 from an artist who recently had a top 5.

#35 on Billboard? It has a chance, but this is painful to watch.
