Happy for BOB. Opening with 80K to reach the Gold plateau before Thanksgiving is great for him.

www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_display/charts/chart_alert/e3i156046bdea3250ce1f63806cec07af19A 'Dream' Come True: 'Glee' Cast and Susan Boyle Top Charts November 17, 2010 Editor: Keith Caulfield; Contributors: Alex Vitoulis; Editorial Director: Silvio Pietroluongo Both the cast of Fox TV's "Glee" series and "Britain's Got Talent" contestant-turned singing-sensation Susan Boyle make waves atop Billboard's charts this week. "Glee" earns its first No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart with "Teenage Dream" posting the ensemble's biggest sales week yet: 214,000 (according to Nielsen SoundScan), while Boyle hits No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her second effort, "The Gift" (318,000). FLASH POINTS• It's a "Dream" come true! The cast of Fox TV's "Glee" and Susan Boyle rock the top of Billboard's charts this week. • "Glee's" cover of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" was the top selling song in the U.S. last week, as it'll debut at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart with 214,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. It marks the ensemble's first No. 1 and their biggest sales week yet. Previously, the cast's best week came when its first single, "Don't Stop Believin'," debuted at No. 2 with 177,000 (June 6, 2009). • "Teenage Dream," with lead vocals by newly-signed cast member Darren Criss, is sure to make a splashy bow on the Billboard Hot 100 chart once it is unveiled tomorrow (18). So far, "Glee's" best rank on the Hot 100 is also owned by "Don't," which hit No. 4. • Last week's No. 1 on Digital Songs, Rihanna's "What's My Name?" (featuring Drake), slides to No. 6 with 152,000 (down 35%). Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" holds at No. 2 (191,000; down 14%) and the Black Eyed Peas' "The Time (Dirty Bit)" debuts at No. 3 (170,000). The aforementioned Perry sees her new single "Firework" spark up two slots to No. 4 (161,000; up 11%), while P!nk's "Raise Your Glass" slips one spot to No. 5 (160,000; up less than 1%). • Meanwhile, Boyle -- who rose to fame in 2009 after her audition on "Britain's Got Talent" went viral and paved the way to her No. 1 Billboard 200 album "I Dreamed a Dream" -- nets her second chart-topping album, as "The Gift" will arrive in the penthouse with 318,000. "Dreamed" started at No. 1 a little under a year ago with 701,000 and spent six weeks at the top. • Boyle's "Gift" leads a total of six debuts in the top 10 as the music industry continues to gear up for the holiday shopping season. While last week's No. 1, Taylor Swift's "Speak Now," slips to No. 2 (212,000; down 34%), Kid Cudi enters at No. 3 with "Man on the Moon II" (169,000). That easily beats the premiere (and best week) of his debut set, last year's "Man on the Moon," which started at No. 4 with 104,000. • The new "Now 36" compilation bows at No. 4 (89,000), Bon Jovi's "Greatest Hits" starts at No. 5 (88,000) and Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party" falls four rungs to No. 6 (81,000; down 58%). Reba McEntire's "All the Women I Am" enters at No. 7 (64,000), Sugarland's "The Incredible Machine" falls five to No. 8 (60,000; though with a 1% gain) and Cee Lo Green's "The Lady Killer" bows at No. 9 (41,000). Rounding out the top 10 albums is Lil Wayne's "I Am Not A Human Being," descending five rungs to No. 10 (35,000; down 22%). • Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 14) totaled 6.30 million units, up 16% compared to the sum last week (5.43 million) and down 11% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (7.04 million). Year to date album sales stand at 253.67 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year (293.00 million). • Digital track sales this past week totaled 21.30 million downloads, up 7% compared to last week (19.84 million) and up 8% stacked next to the comparable week of 2009 (19.63 million). Year to date track sales are at 978.15 million, down less than 1% compared to the same total at this point last year (980.61 million). MARKET WATCH• Album units, current chart week: 6.30 million units • Up 16% from last week's charts: 5.43 million units • Down 11% from the comparable week in 2009: 7.04 million units • This week last year on the Billboard 200 chart: Bon Jovi's "The Circle" arrived at No. 1 with 163,000 sold, pushing the previous week's topper, Carrie Underwood's "Play On," to No. 3 with 128,000 (down 60%). The top four albums each sold more than 100,000. A LOOK AHEAD• Among the albums released this week, due on next week's charts: Rihanna's "Loud," Kid Rock's "Born Free," the "Glee: the Music, the Christmas Album" compilation, Keith Urban's "Get Closer," Bruce Springsteen's "The Promise," Norah Jones' "Featuring Norah Jones," Rascal Flatts' "Nothing Like This," P!nk's "Greatest Hits ... So Far!!!," Lee DeWyze's "Live It Up" and Nelly's "5.0." • Next week's Billboard 200 competes with the same week in 2009 when: John Mayer's "Battle Studies" started at No. 1 with 286,000 while Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas" held at No. 2 (185,000; up 36%). Four more albums opened in the top 10, led by Norah Jones' "The Fall" at No. 3 with 180,000.

Happy for BOB. Opening with 80K to reach the Gold plateau before Thanksgiving is great for him. he didnt really reach it. he ll get there hopefully after the holidays are finished. it seems no more singles are going to work off this album, and its not selling much now. they can certify it, but it may take a few weeks after thanksgiving to sell 500k

news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101118/ap_en_ot/eu_britain_susan_boyleLONDON – Singing sensation Susan Boyle has a No. 1 album in the United States and the U.K. simultaneously for the second time in a year — a feat not achieved for more than 40 years. Her record label, Sony, says she is the first woman to reach the milestone achieved previously by the Beatles in 1969 and The Monkees in 1967. Boyle said she has "never felt happier" than seeing "The Gift," match her first record's successful debut. "The Gift" reached No. 1 in the U.K. on Sunday and topped the U.S. charts Wednesday. The eccentric Scot shot to international fame after her audition for the TV show "Britain's Got Talent" received more than 120 million views on YouTube. Boyle's first album, "I Dreamed A Dream," came out in 2009 and has sold more than 10 million copies.

The positions for the albums two posts up are from the Current Albums chart- I'd have thought in the last year the person posting the info at the site would have that straightened out, but maybe his/her only access is the Current Albums chart.

Can't wait till "Recovery" is officially over 3,000,000. Probably your waiting will end by next week! And he is to perform on SNL on Dec. 18th so there will be some surge in album sales for him too. He is going to perform "No Love" with Lil wayne.,and I don't understand why "No Love" didn't do well. It's a nice hit.
