Terrible nominations.Taylor Swift's song "Mine" should of got nominated. Um I'm sorry but no. After her performance last year with Stevie Nicks, she should not be allowed to perform on the Grammy's again. She totally embarrassed herself winning a 'Vocal Performance' category by giving a consequent horrendous performance

GaGa not getting nominated for SOTY or ROTY for "Bad Romance" has got to be one of the biggest snubs in Grammy history. I guarantee you that song will be the defining pop song of the decade. It's surprising, because it is one of the signature songs of the past year. Shocked it didn't get at least one of those nominations.

Surpised at... No GaGa in ROTY/SOTY - Bad Romance was TOTALLY deserving of both nominations. If anything, I thought she'd get nominated in ROTY/SOTY for BR but not AOTY. Florence only in BNA, not even Rock Solo...not too upset but definitely should've gotten something Ray LaMontagne in SOTY? Awesome but out of nowhere Who the hell is Esperanza whatever in BNA??? Katy in AOTY...ok...kinda weird that CG and TD were left out of general nods Didn't expect Cee-Lo to get in the big categories but I'm ok with it King/Taylor completely snubbed...good No Sade in AOTY...good Beiber & Boyle both in Pop Album...and Gaga/Katy...seems like an easy way for John Mayer to win there Sade left out of some seemingly easy R&B nods

I agree. I'm sorry but there is nothing spectacular about Ke$ha's music that would be appealing to the Grammy board. She doesn't write most of her own music Doesn't she have co-writing credits on all of the Animal and Cannibal songs? Terrible nominations.Taylor Swift's song "Mine" should of got nominated. Um I'm sorry but no. After her performance last year with Stevie Nicks, she should not be allowed to perform on the Grammy's again. She totally embarrassed herself winning a 'Vocal Performance' category by giving a consequent horrendous performance The 'vocal' part of the category name is used to differentiate from instrumental categories. The award is not solely based on vocal prowress.

Not sure what people expected (other than their own taste reflected in the noms, obviously), they nominate acts like Katy, Gaga or Susan because they are a big draw, they want their fans to watch the show so the AOTY won't be decided between Sade or Barbra Streisand.
Is there a list for the short/long form video noms?

Ke$ha's people are still dumb for not submitting her to Best Dance. I think Kanye will trump over fav Drake for Best Rap Solo.
No shade, but Katy's AOTY nod is the biggest WTF moment. Sade, Janelle, Jay-Z and several others deserved that spot more.

I love Beyonce and think she deserves the nomination, but I would have been fine to see Pink or XTina get in their. Glitter was great and You lost me was a great ballad. But people(not saying you)have to remember it's not Beyonce's fault. In the end the Grammy panel get's to choose, and they chose her. I would have rathered beyonce get nominated for LongForm Music Video instead anyways.

Wouldn't it be funny if Beyonce won twice in same category for the same song?

my reactions to this year's nominations
1. grammy loves gaga but didnt really wanna show by omitting BR from SOTY and ROTY
2. the only thing good bout that "F**k u" song is the title..utterly overated!
3. dont have problems with TD nominated for AOTY..a truly colourful, fun pop album...2 mega hits and countin!
4. grammy HEARTS beyonce so much!
5. eminem is the most consistent artist commercially and critically
6. country field is dominated with same old same old artists
7. grammy always wanna acknowledge their support for "new" talents but eventually they will pick their darlings for the winner...classic example is for best pop vocal album...mayer vs gaga+bieber etc etc= MAYER!

WOW @ these reactions over Beyonce's nom. Listen to the performance, that vocal is incredible! VOCALLY the best of the five. Pink or Christina should have been nominated and won for "Glitter" or "You Lost Me" but that didn't happen, so VOCALLY - Beyonce's song is the best. AND Maroon 5 won for both "This Love" and "This Love (Live)" - so it isn't ALL ABOUT BEYONCE, it's just a stellar performance!
Moving on...
SHOCKED at there being no Alicia nominations. Very upset about it, actually. "Unthinkable" and "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" are both amazing.
Also shocked at Sade's lack of nominations in R&B. She should've dominated.
Gaga was totally snubbed from SOTY and ROTY. Glad to see her in AOTY though.
Happy to see Drake and Florence in BNA. I pray to god Bieber doesnt win :-\
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that ROBYN got a nomination for "Dancing on my Own"!!!!!

When "Vocal" is in the category's title, I see nothing wrong with it. If Maroon 5 was good enough, B certainly is. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is only the second time this has happened... right? It happened with "Me, Myself and I"?

The "Vocal" categories have nothing to do with the quality of Vocals, but denotes the type of song. Basically any track that isn't an instrumental could qualify.

The Grammys are hella shady! LMAO! No Alicia in ANY R&B categories? What happened to Rihanna "Rated R" era? LMFAO! Only 1 solo grammy nomination for Rihanna for 'Only Girl'? I'm still shocked that 'Bad Romance' & 'Hey, Soul Sister' didn't get a nomination for SOTY This is crazy! But I can't wait for the show Congrats to my Queen, Beyonce, B.o.B., Bruno Mars, Lady Antebellum & Lady GaGa
