Yup. Upcoming promotion is key in giving this song some great longevity. I wouldn't be surprised to see it back in the top 20 for a week. That said, this song has been doing pretty OK by itself. 5 weeks in the top 10, 8 weeks in the top 20 and 10 weeks in the top 50 is nothing to worry about. Only 10 weeks in the top10 IS something to worry about...This is Britney spears we're talking about! Not really, Britney was never much of a radio darling until Circus. A platinum #1 smash with a top 3 peak on Pop radio is nothing to be concerned about. At all. I still think this is one of the strongest tracks on the album and by far one of her best singles. It's a shame it didn't reach its full potential due to the lack of promo. It's better than most of the songs that are out on radio right now.

Eh...it's nothing to be "concerned about" but it isn't good that a first single is flying off the charts so soon.

I love this song. It's my favorite Spears single since "Piece of Me".

I think this may be my favorite Britney single, ever. Right next to Slave 4 U. Womanizer went #1 on pop for 2 weeks right? And it was also stuck at #2 for a few weeks if I recall correctly... Not speaking to anybody in this thread but I've been reading a lot lately that songs like Womanizer had no longevity and she hasn't had a huge smash since Toxic but I think Womanizer fit that bill.

I, too, really like this song, especially after listening to the new album. It's more darker/edgier than anything else on the album, which is a good thing!

Thanks! And both singles seem like they were huge and had longevity, very big smashes.

Yeah, and IUSA doesn't deserve it's bad reputation as it did well too.

WHAT! NEVER! Especially if they made it a Lady GaGa feature...huge smash! I've never really cared for 'Quicksand'. It's easily my least favorite song from the Circus era. Also, considering the amount of GaGa vocals already on the track, it basically is a duet with her.

Quicksand was easily forgetable.
Unusual You, Out From Under, Shattered Glass and Kill the Lights were the best choices left. I think after Circus, UY would have been a better 3rd single, then IUSA as the fourth one. No Radar flop pls.

i felt IYSA was a fine 3rd choice, and felt KTL shouldve been 4th. then radar to kill the era (i think radar was contracted to be released as a single). i just thought KTL should be in her single catalouge

Since the TTWE thread was locked thanks to =certain= people, I'll post this here.
Britney will be headlining this year's Wango Tango, which is KIIS FM's biggest concert event. This will definitely secure her airplay on their station for this single, and perhaps even her third single. They do this for everyone who performs. It's kind of a big deal. Whoever performs at the Wango Tango, usually does Z100's summer concert too, meaning they'll secure the airplay on their station as well, but even if she doesn't, z100 has been more supportive than KIIS FM so TTWE and the third single will be more than fine. :)

Wango Tango is a big deal. I remember when Kelly Clarkson headlined it during her Breakaway era and ROCKED the house!

Don't want to go off topic and lock another thread. That said, Britney won't be performing as far as the announcement goes. She'll just be co-hosting.

The HIAM performance on Good Morning America was bad. Really bad. She looked so uncomfortable and nervous. Thank God TTWE was so much better! It's like it was two different woman performing! I don't really understand it. But, this song is pure fire! It should have done MUCH better than it did.

after watching a PROPER quality video of HIAM from GMA, it actually looks pretty good. ^ that's the best possible angle we have so far and it looks really well done and i'm feeling so much better and confident about the concert now. can't wait for the professional footage

Britney sadly isn't headlining Wango Tango. She is co-hosting it with Ryan Seacrest... no performance.

I was wondering that too... I didn't know if it was that or distorted sound due to the quality of the video/the booming of the (big fat) bass

Loved her TTWE performance. First performance of hers I've liked in a long time! However, she still didn't keep up with her back up dancers and at parts she just stopped dancing...

She is supposed to perform... not just dance a whole song. If that was her job, she would be a backup dancer. They (dancers) are there to do all the dancing and enhance a performance/show.
