I think Grenade will get it because of a massive increase in holiday sales.

Are you talking about post-Christmas iTunes gift card use? That will affect the 1/8 chart (1 day after Christmas) and then maybe some of the 1/15 chart.

Yeah- kinda like how each year since 2001, it has months that match up like that- i.e. this year, it was 10-10-10. Not sure how many of those corresponded with Billboard chart dates, though. :)

Could ADELE's "Rolling in the Deep" please be added to the tracking for this thread? It's currently charting on Hot AC, Triple A, and Adult Pop. Its total AI right now is probably somewhere around 3.0.

Actually, the correct date is 01- 01-11. We've already had 01-01-01, 02-02-02, etc. through 10-10-10. Next year brings 11-11-11 and then 12-12-12. Unless a miracle drug is found, that's it for our lifetimes!

T.I. - That's All She Wrote f/Eminem: 1.343
Not really. I'm shocked anybody is playing this on radio. Especially with Eminem's first verse.

If there was a week that "Oh Santa!" has the best shot at debuting, it's the 1/1 chart. Sales have remained within a certain range this week, which will help. Last week, it had the addition of dance-mix sales, which, while not accounting for much, may hgavce added a small boost. Not sure if that mash-up will count toward sales or not.
Nonetheless, it's a disappointing showing, even considering that radio as expected opted for "All I Want For Christmas is You." I figured Mimi would have the top-charting new holiday track of the season, but Coldplay's single wil ltake that honor (peaking at No. 25). It doesn't look like OS will get as high as 769, as the Killers' "Boots" did. So, it may have to settle for third.

i know you say new holiday track but glee had some chart too idk by new if you ment original songs or availability.
i just hope oh santa can get some support for xmas's to come, and not just this year. hopefully next year it gets at least half the AI it ends up earning this year

^I meant non-cover tracks. If we take Glee Cast's two entries this week (at 57 and 59), that would push "Oh Santa!" down to fourth-or fifth-highest-charting holiday track, depending on how it charts.
I actually thought OS had a shot at peaking around 20m audience, but not looking likely at this point. Even if it gained .703m for the next nine days, that would take it to around 15.5m.

If these are, indeed, new stations, then airplay will have a little more power on the chart because the AIs of all songs will go up.

There are alot of articles in Billboard indicating that the new "People Meters" are starting to impact the national radio audience ratings in stunning ways. As Mediabase & BDS move away from ratings diaries to People Meters for their audience measurement, it is becoming clear that CHR stations are getting far greater ratings than ever before. Note that all the songs benefiting here are played at CHR - Country and Urban songs did not see as huge growth. I bet these new numbers reflect a recent retooling based on the new info.
