Based on rumored tracks, "all the" may amount to three tracks. Granted, that's more than I'd like to hear, but if the album has 13-15 tracks, it's not like it's dominating the album.

I'm preparing myself to be disappointed by this album... which I hate to say but it almost feels like Hard Candy all over again. I just hope the single is great. Sadly I agree. :( I was really looking forward to this as I've been on a huge Madonna kick lately, but I have a feeling with all the Nicki/M.I.A. collabs that she's just going for another attempt at what's hot right now. Nicki didn't really set the charts ablaze with her singles, except for Super Bass, even though she's a very big artist- and MIA is non-existant in the US besides the moderate success of 'Paper Planes' years ago. She's not really even working with any R&B producers. I see the album as being mainstream, but actually done correctly, instead of the Hard Candy direction. |

Certainly. Some act as if it's Katy Perry or Rihanna appearing on the album. Yes, Minaj is a hot thing of the moment, but she's not a guarantee for a super-smash hit. Will it hurt the single's commercial potential? No.
And M.I.A.'s had one sizable U.S hit- and that was before "4 Minutes" debuted.

Well...we should be hearing something within 2 weeks...on some sort of release to radio..the way the Hot 100 is shaping up by the end of January...im sure WFL will on its last last legs and will not be the power house single once was...and really dont see any songs with that kind of power coming up....which leads me to believe GMAYL can make it to the summit with just sales alone...and little airplay...i think a safe bet would be for her to open itunes singles with 325k or more in its first week.

We still don't know if the first single will be digitally released the week prior to the Super Bowl, or the day or so after. The info about it being released a week prior to the SB may mean the radio release.

I was at a Best Buy in NYC today.
Madonna, LAP and ROL were all on sale for $4.99.
The 1cd Celebration album was $9.99.

Release it on iTunes immediately after the Super Bowl. If Glee can go #1 with 7 million viewers, can you imagine what GMAYL would do with over 120 million viewers??? #1 in minutes with skyrocketed sales numbers that would keep it there for a long time. This is going to be super exciting.
Niki and M.I.A performing with her at half time is going to increase the smash.

Another obvious sign of it being fake is the lack of a mention of the featured guests on certain songs, especially on the "Gimme All Your Luvvin" song. |
