Coldplay are one of the acts releasing new Christmas music this year. "Christmas Lights" peaked at #25 on the Hot 100 and #13 in the UK earlier this month. I was skeptical, but this is actually really nice.

Really surprised this was the most successful Christmas song on the Hot 100 this year. I thought it would be Mariah for sure. Really love this song by them. I could listen to it outside of Christmas.

Yeah, it's a decent track. it also managed three weeks on the Hot 100 (two inside the top 40).
I posted this oin other threads, but this is how this season's holiday Hot 100 entries fared:
Coldplay, "Christmas Lights": No. 25/3 weeks Hot 100 Glee Cast, "Baby It's Cold Outside": No. 57/2 weeks Glee Cast, "Welcome Christmas": No. 59/1 week The Killers, "Boots": No. 79/1 week Train, "Shake Up Christmas": No. 99/1 week (likely) Mariah Carey: "Oh Santa!: No. 100/1 week

It'd also quite an accomplishment considering it outpeaked all but one of their singles from the previous era. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

*bump* Since I was the last post over 4 years ago lol.
This has emerged as one of my favorite modern Christmas songs. It's pure magic, as usual from Coldplay.

Shouldn't this be a gold by now, lol? Good for them, though.
