Like "No Resolution"?

Like "No Resolution"? That is one of the tracks I remember standing out. I'm in the process of listening the album for the second time now and am about 2/3 through. This has probably the most variety that I've heard out of the four albums with a good number of ballads as well as the typical post-grunge that was prevalent on the previous three albums. I really don't know if this beats out either "Disclaimer" version or "Karma & Effect," but I do certainly like it better already than "Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces." Once it grows on me, this may be my favorite album from them yet.

It should be the next single. But I'll have to purchase & listen to the album first.

HDD projects the album to sell 55-65K.

That's more or less what I was expecting for them, although I'm hoping they could push it towards 65k.

For some reason I thought they would have done a bit better than this. Edit - Oops. I didn't realize the last album only had 57k debut. My bad.

"Master of Disaster" would be the obvious pick.

"Master of Disaster" would be the obvious pick. Hell no. Love that song, but a single? Eh. I want "No Resolution" for the next single, and either "Tonight" or "Here And Now" for the third, although they'll probably be reversed. "Fur Cue" would be great for active at some point too.

Why not? It's not like it's unfriendly for radio. I fully expect it to be next. "No Resolution" was actually a let down, for me. I was anticipating a more kick-ass studio version. "Tonight" would be a solid selection for Active, along with most of the others, but "Here and Now" is slightly too poppy, I would say.

It was originally thought to be the first single, so I have no doubt they'll tag it for the second.

Well, "Like Suicide" was originally tagged as the first single from the last album, yet never saw the light of the day. I see no reason why "Master of Disaster" shouldn't be next. Blatant single choices have been ignored before, though, I guess.

I don't hear it. I don't hear how "Master Of Disaster" is a blatant single choice. I still disagree with you on "Here And Now" too. Also I never knew "Like Suicide" was ever tagged as a lead single.

Why don't we just quit the fussin' and the feudin' and just get right down to hitting each other with shovels.

You said you loved the song? This is a band that should be releasing their best songs. They're all radio friendly, any way. Yeah, it definitely was... *researches* Hm, this is all I could find, via google. www.last.fm/music/Seether/_/Like+SuicideWhy don't we just quit the fussin' and the feudin' and just get right down to hitting each other with shovels. Hahah well, I'd rather be having this debate than the one we had concerning Saliva.

Blatant single choices have been ignored before, though, I guess. "Like Suicide" was written and chosen as the lead single before Shaun Morgan's brother's death though (which caused it to be pulled because of obvious emotional reasons); it was too late to pull it off the album. Then "Fake It" was chosen as the lead single, which was proven to be an excellent choice. It was a different situation all together, so you can't compare "Like Suicide"'s tagging of lead single with "No Resolution"'s.

No, but my point is that songs that get tagged as lead singles don't always get released later on. "No Resolution" is by no means certain for single #2, just because it was rumored to be first. Also, this can be used against Artie's "singles never get pulled" argument, so it's all good.

I think it's 8 unless the Foos took it back at some point:
4/17 4/24 5/1 5/8 5/15 5/22 5/29 6/5
=8 weeks @ #1 on mediabase active rock. I don't have any archives. I'm just using the date posted in this thread that it hit #1 (which happened to be a Sunday) and counted up to the most recent Sunday. I don't remember Seether ever giving up the top spot once it hit there.
