With this Xmas album going gold for Mariah she would inch that much closer to Madonna. Considering Mariah's age in comparison to theirs I think its pretty impressive :)

This...and Mariah will have more gold and possibly platinum albums in the future. I think she will overtake Madonna at some point (US of course-WW that ship has sailed).

platnium will be very tough in the future. shed need a solid 3-4 hits.i dont see it happening unless she pulls a whitney and waits 7 years to make an album. gold albums are a mini struggle for mariah right now, but i think she can keep getting them

I agree that platinum will be a struggle, but gold ???. I think her going gold won't be difficult unless she has a flop lead single. Didn't that last album, I forgot the title because it was us forgettable sell 500k off of one decent hit and three flop singles.

yes exactly, but shes only going to get older, and i think achieving those big singles (on chr) is going to only get harder. Memoirs barley made it to gold.

and to the poster above you id say teenage dream could hit double platnium with 8-9 singles.

Groban's gone downhill a lot these days, he's riding his own Christmas album coattail. Michael Buble is probably the most consistent huge seller nowadays. All his four studio albums have sold around 5 millions worldwide, and he barely had any big radio support.
