Jason Aldean tweeted that today was his first day in the studio working on his next album!
That's exciting but I hope he puts out 1 or 2 more songs from his current album.
I'd bet on one more single yet, for early 2012. "Tattoos On This Town" will be peaking late this year/early next year, and if he's just getting into the studio today, I don't think he'll get anything done soon. So I think a 5th single will come out in January and go into the spring, and then the next single/album will be ready to go later next year.
Well...as long as we're talking Jason Aldean potential singles lol, I'd actually prefer "If She Could See Me Now", though "Church Pew Or Bar Stool" is right up there as well.

Rascal Flatts 'Experiment' With Tunes on Upcoming Album
"It's really good," Rascal Flatts' lead singer Gary LeVox tells GAC, assessing the trio's upcoming album. "I mean it's really, really good."
The superstar group is putting the final touches on their second project on the Big Machine Records label, set for release on April 3. The guys hope the album will capitalize on the success of their last release, 'Nothing Like This,' but admit to switching up the creative process a bit.
"It's really exciting for us to get in there and the three of us work on our music together without any outside influence," says bassist Jay DeMarcus. "We love working with Dann Huff. He's going to do the rest of the record and he's brilliant, but it was a really great creative outlet for us to get in there and sort of experiment ourselves and make some of the music ourselves so we're really, really excited about that."
Until their new project drops, Rascal Flatts can be found in the upper-half of the chart with 'Easy,' their duet with British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. The tune sits at No. 12 this week, poised to become the third consecutive Top 10 single from 'Nothing Like This,' following their No. 1 singles 'I Won't Let Go' and 'Why Wait.'
Although Rascal Flatts have taken a break from the road, the trio will perform 'Easy' with Natasha at the upcoming CMA Awards. The band is nominated for Group of the Year, a trophy they have taken home a total of five times.

really pleased he's finally got a release date for this. I was hoping for a bigger label than Sugar Hill, but it'll have to do. I wonder if he will release anything from this. If so, I think Austin would be a good choice, though I haven't heard all the songs (or any of them sung by Pat)

"Austin" and "All Just To Get To You" are the ones he's been playing live for a while, so I'd bet on one of those as a single.
*Edit* I just found a YouTube video where he said "All Just To Get To You" is going to be the single.

Pat's not really worried about national radio hits anymore but he'll take the Regional hits that he'll likely get.
Has anyone heard anything about Easton Corbin's sophomore album?
The Boot says Easton Corbin's second CD will be released in 2012.
I saw him perform last night and asked him when the cd will be done and he said it should be done by the 1st of the year. He played one song that seemingly will be on the album called Tulsa, TX which you can find live versions of on YouTube, which I thought was pretty solid.

Thanks. I am liking this record a lot, maybe not as much as her last record (Streets of Heaven), but "He's All Yours", "Circus Girl", "I Didn't" and "If I Was A Man" have that Sherrie Austin charm that makes her music so unique.
So now that David Nail's cd is out, is the next big name cd to come out really Kellie Pickler January 24th? :( Or am I forgetting someone hopefully?
Correct. Taylor Swift's "Speak Now World Tour Live" CD/DVD will be out next Monday, the 21st, though, if you're planning on getting that..
Other than that there aren't really any major releases until Kellie's, which could potentially get pushed back further if they want a single rising the chart before then. You never know, though...for now it does sound like they're planning on Jan. 24.
Taylor Swift has her live CD/DVD coming. I don't know whether that will chart on t he album chart or not, though (some do, some chart as DVDs).
It will be interesting to see how sales play out over the next few weeks. I could see any of Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery or Lady Antebellum spending a lot of time at #1 during the Holiday shopping season. Even Jason Aldean could possibly return to the top.
I want "Church Pew Or Bar Stool," "See You When I See You" or "If She Could See Me Now." Jason really created an entire album packed with hits.
I have a friend who does modeling work, and she just got done shooting a music video for Jason's song See You when I See You, possible 5th single?
I'd say that's usually a very strong indicator. It's rather rare to release music videos for songs that the label has no intention of releasing to radio (I'm aware it does happen, but you have to admit it happens quite infrequently).
Still, I was hoping for either Church Pew/Barstool or Fly Over States.
