I love the new acoustic country-tinged version of "Still", and the snippets sound really good.

I actually really like this album. Tamia sounds as powerful as ever (she goes OFF at the end of "I Still Love You")! I really missed her voice and presence in music.
The album sounds quite AC-poppy overall, to me. It reminded me of Toni's Pulse, in that sense. That doesn't bother me that much though; it's a good album. My only issue is that it lacks one, or two, extra upbeat songs. It could use some punch in places.
The country version of "Still" is nice, but pointless.

Aside from the lead single, which I love, I don't like the album at all. It's way too adult contemporary pop. I don't know why some of these older R&B artists (in terms of how long they've been around) put out light adult contemporary pop albums. It's like they're catering to a crowd that was never really behind them much in the first place. They should be catering to that core urban adult base at this point that will be the most likely to support new material from them. There are a few other female R&B singers (who will remain unnamed) who made the same mistake in the past few years and flopped horribly.

I didn't even finish it and went about my business half way through. Such a shame because Between Friends was/is a really great album. I HATE when artist give you a lead single that is so opposite from the album.

I like the album. I'm still debating on whether or not I will buy it, but either way it was a pleasant listen. The best song was easily the title track/lead single.

Toni Braxton with Pulse is probably who he is referring to but I personally love that album and I'm sure i'll love Tamia's. At the end of the day she is going to sell what she is going to sell. If she wants to make AC pop music then as an artist she should make what she wants and not be put in some Urban AC box when it's not as if it's going to make her magically go platinum anyway.

I think she should really do a reality show. On her last album she did a little behind the scenes DVD and i think she would have a cute reality show for TV One.

It always surprises me that Tamia has always been a pretty consistent seller. I like her voice and all but I always expect her to be pulling in sort of mediocre sales but for her last album with like no promo she sold like 370k.

Sigh...I don't like the album nearly as much as I thought I would, but it's not terrible. There are only about 3 songs that really HIT for me. I still love her voice and it's just as gorgeous as ever.

I hate that she takes soooooo long between albums. I hoped she would work with Darkchild again. "Cant get enough" was glorious!!

As mentioned, this album goes too far down the AC-lite Pop road. I guess most of her albums have that laidback, slightly dull sound to them, but this is a sleeper. I may purchase it, but I am still trying to understand why she remade Still. The original sounds better.
