Yessssss!!! ![](http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii261/TrackGuy23/IMG_3142-1.jpg) Can't wait!!!! The 25th Anniversary Edition of her debut didn't include much that wasn't already available, so I hope these will have more.

I don't believe Whitney recorded any other songs for the BG sdtk. It was always rumored she covered "What Becomes Of A Broken Heart" but I believe it was confirmed by Kevin Costner she didn't record it because another artists used it as a single.
However I wouldn't mind getting the movie versions of IWALY and Run To You. There's also the extended version of QOTN that has yet to be released on cd as well.

Whitney Houston Tributes: Late Singer To Be The Subject of Numerous Upcoming Projects
It's been nine months since singing legend Whitney Houston died, but her legacy lives on with the release of at least seven different projects based on her music and life. Over the next few weeks, we will see a television special, a greatest hits album, a new, previously unreleased song, a musical based on her movie "The Bodyguard," a reality TV show, a Home Shopping Network spot, and a book -- all honoring while making a fortune off the talents of the late singer.
“You need to look no further than Michael Jackson to see that some celebrities are worth more dead than alive,” one entertainment professional tells me. “Over the next few months the amount of projects based on Whitney is staggering. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this before."
In November, viewers will see a special on Whitney featuring video and archival materials along with an interview with her record mentor, Clive Davis, on the Home Shopping Network. This is meant to support a new Whitney greatest hits album called “Whitney Houston: I Will Always Love You,” which will have 18 tracks, one of which is a new unreleased final single “Never Give Up.”
On Nov. 16, CBS is planning an hour-long special also featuring Clive Davis, along with performers Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Halle Berry and Britney Spears, focusing on Whitney as an artist, not her personal demons. Her mother, Cissy Houston, chose not to attend the taping.
Finally, Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law, manager and executor of Whitney’s estate, is set to publish a book of photos and thoughts. “All the projects will bring millions to Whitney’s estate and those who are working with it,” one industry insider reveals.
Last year, movie star Elizabeth Taylor beat King of Pop Michael Jackson to the top of the Forbes top-earning-dead-celebrities list, due to the auction of her jewelry collection. Insiders say if all goes as planned, Whitney will beat both.

HITS:
Syco/Columbia vocalist Susan Boyle is expected to do 35-40k; a set from the late Whitney Houston will do the same.

AND, HITS might not be including the 30k in sales from HSN.

Where did it say 30K n sales from HSN? I know that in other estimates (i.e. Rod Stewart recently), stuff like HSN and such was taken into account.

Mariah is mentor to Whitney Houston's daughter
UNITED STATES - US pop star Mariah Carey, 42, reportedly offered the late Whitney Houston's 19-year-old daughter advice, as she was worried the young talent might end up in the same unfortunate situation as her mother. The I Will Always Love You singer died in a bathtub following a cocaine overdose in February and it seems that Bobbi Kristina is following in her mother's destructive path. Kristina recently made headlines when she smashed her boyfriend's Camaro in the garage of their Georgia apartment complex, causing severe damage to the front of the sports car. A source revealed: "Mariah decided it was time for some tough love."

I never believed that when I heard it, Mariah isn't one to get in other's business or even comment on it.

I cant wait to see this special. I have a wake to go to tonight in Queens, but I will def be Tivo-ing it. I have a question maybe someone can help me with? Does Tivo-ing something count towards the number of viewers the telecast gets? I was thiking No, and thats why tv stations have been playing there hit shows back to back to back, because watching it when its airing counts, even if its the 2nd or 3rd time its on that night.

Enjoyable special. I actually like Usher's voice better in that kind of arrangement than his usual stuff.

The special was great. I felt a little uneasy halfway through it because I don't think I've fully dealt with her death. These tributes are getting kind of weird for me.
Anyway
HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY TO THE BODYGUARD SOUNDTRACK!

I really enjoyed everyone's performances except Jennifer Hudson's. I don't think she does those kind of uptempo songs well. She would have been better suited singing one of Whitney's ballads, but then everyone would have done ballads.

What's the source of this article? MJ's estate has brought in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue since he passed. Same can be said for Elizabeth Taylor. Her White Diamonds perfume tops perfume sales worldwide in the tens of millions every year. Some autobiography from Cissy about Whitney and a rerelease here or there is not going to be bringing in that amount of money.

Maybe they mean Whitney may end up beating MJ for the year when her new products come out????

The tribute was beautiful...I was in tears throughout the whole thing, 9 months later and its still hard for me to deal with and accept. It also got 7.15 million viewers! Whitney always brings in the ratings. ![](http://i.imgur.com/2smy76v.gif) :)

I can't wait for those re-releases!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the "Whitney" album includes the 12" versions of "IWDWS" and "So Emotional" and the UK version of "So Emotional" which I love and can't kind a good quality version of.
I was decorating my Christmas tree yesterday listening to "A Very Special Christmas" and this came on:
I realized this was our first Christmas without Whitney. It was sad listening to it actually. :(
