I could have sworn there was a thread for this but I can't seem to find it.
I adore this song, even though apparently it's about a couple melting at the drop of a nuclear bomb. Surprisingly, this never charted in the UK. In the US, it reached #7 on Mainstream Rock and #78 on the Hot 100; a re-recorded version landed two spots higher on the latter chart in 1990.
And I wanna know what is it that you do to keep from hurting anyone but you?

I never knew this song didn't do that well on the pop charts considering that it is often played on 80s/classic hits/adult hits. Heard this on 101.9 the Mix during their 80s at 8 hour when I was younger and I'm pretty sure the now-defunct 80s channel (103.1 WXXY) and 94.7 (back when were the Zone and played 80s hits just before flipping to alterative/active rock) played this one as well. I never hated this song but couldn't really enjoy it either due to overplay.

One of those songs like Every Breath You Take, that no matter how good it is, I have heard way too many times. I think the Burger King ad and also a Taco Bell ad - plus constant play on alternative radio - has worn me on this song.
