This may be too early, but Shiny Toy Guns revealed that their new single will be available for free download in the next few days. More importantly, they released an interesting short film that ultimately reveals (SPOILERS) that former lead singer, Carah Faye, is returning! SO excited!

I love both "We Are Pilots" and "Season of Poison" and can't really decide which vocalist was better. They're both great in their different ways. I'm just really looking forward to their new album since I'm so burnt out on both of the previous ones.

I'm tired of the juggling act--completely tired, and I don't think this is helping them--but I like both of their records enough to continue to let it slide and get excited about a new one. I developed a crush on Carah Faye just in time for them to throw her to the curb and replace her, so I guess this is kind of exciting. Hope it works out.

Their new single, "The Sun," is available for free download by sharing on Facebook. static.fm/playground/?post_type=clientstl&p=1170The site has been crashing because of the activity, I guess. Good sign. Sounds great--something that could have been on We Are Pilots, actually. Enjoying the flashback.

Quite a catchy song, but I'm not sure if I enjoy it as much as some of the other singles. Not to say this isn't good, because it indeed is, but after one listen, I think it's my least favorite one thus far since the other were just freaking awesome. I'm not sure if anything they do could compare to "Ghost Town" for me. I could see this doing decently though. It's rather mellow compared to some of their other material. I cannot understand why they don't try to get pushed to CHR. I could see them doing incredible with their sound on there and would fit right in with the rest of the chart.

This is fantastic; SO glad that Carah is back. This has totally revived my love for this band, I never liked Sisely's vocals and Season of Poison was a major disappointment.
Hopefully "The Sun" can have a decent run on alternative even though I feel like a lot of the buzz for this band has died in the past 3-4 years.

I refuse to sign up for something (or, in this case, drag my mostly uncluttered social media account into this), just to download a track by a band I dig that I can totally wait to hear/buy a few weeks/months later.

I can't blame you. The only way I could listen to it fully was to share it on Facebook. I guess it's a good way for the band to get their song out there, but it was a little awkward when quite a few friends made comments not knowing who the hell the Shiny Toy Guns are.

LOL Thanks for doing the legwork. I wasn't too worried about it just yet. My brain is so full of small things to do like that (music-related or otherwise) that honestly, I'm not sure when I would've gotten around to seeking alternate methods.
