Well, that took long enough. Album sales of 100K or more for a week:
1. VARIOUS---NOW 37 (debut week, 2/26/2011 BB issue): 150,796

You should cut it down to 75K or something close to that just for declining sake.

It's an idea, but I tend to think that we should keep it at the same level, to compare this year to last. But it's definitely an idea....

I don't see the point in lowering the criteria. It does no good at all.

There eventually will be many weeks over 100k when the year is over, especially during the holiday season.

I wonder who will eventually dislodge Adele. I am sort of hoping that Gaga does it. I am not sure who else is debuting in the next six weeks that may also sell that big? Anyone?

She probably won't be the first to do it, but I'm sure Carrie will if she does end up releasing in the Fall, like all her other albums have been. Or Taylor will so a Speak Now rerelease or something.

GaGa should Def sell more than 350k first week. It will be a disaster if the doesn't.
i predict her selling 700k+ with the Promo she has lined up

It would be quite surprising if GaGa is not well above Adele's debut numbers.

No new additions this week, but Foo Fighters will hit next week. Should be some strong debuts coming throughout May, as well.

It would be quite surprising if GaGa is not well above Adele's debut numbers. I'm not 100% GaGa will do anything above 200-300K in first week. I agree people will expect it but, i'm just not sold. Regardless who holds the numbers, Adele or GaGa, im happy. I like both girls, so i cant be angry if Adele's record stands. I'll be shocked if Beyonce bombs however....

Never underestimate the power of marketing and promo...especially during album release week. Either way, I am waiting for how beyonce is going to top her.

I'll do a full update when I get back into town, but Foo Fighters' debut week for Wasting Light slides into the #4 spot with 234,527 in sales last week.
