First single goes for adds to Alternative next week from their upcoming "Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2" album which will be released on May 3rd. Part 1 has been delayed indefinitely Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. It's been a helluva long time that I've heard new material from the Beasties.

Part 1 has been delayed indefinitely Isn't the tracklisting exactly (or at least mostly) the same?

Actually, for me this about the right time for some new Beastie Boys.
I recently revisited Hello Nasty and I appreciate it now way more than I used to. I think the length probably intimidated me.
Interesting enough lead single; could grow.

Right now I don't feel that strongly about this one way or another. I think I'd have to start hearing it regularly on the radio to see how I feel.

I have a feeling that this is one of those songs that'll rise fast and die fast, and then have no well-charting follow-ups.

Is this their first charting single on Active? Allmusic & Wikipedia have nothing.

Is this their first charting single on Active? Allmusic & Wikipedia have nothing. "Intergalactic" hit #49 for a single week. My active rock data in the 2005-2008 range is currently sketchy, but outside of that time period, that's the only previous Beastie Boys song that has charted on active rock.

Strange that it's soaring up Active when they've never hit the top 40 before then. ??? I remember Cypress Hill doing the same thing last year.

Jumps 13 to 5 in just four days on Alternative with the biggest bullet on the chart. This should easily notch them their second #1.

I just got done listening to the new album. I'm not huge on rap and the Beasties are one of the only rap-related artists that I've never minded, but I think it's pretty damn impressive. I think the best I've heard since "Ill Communication."

Good to hear that radio seems to be sticking with it, still. For whatever reason, I had a bad feeling like the bottom was about to drop out from under it any day now if it hadn't already.

Upon hearing this for the first time, although I found nothing memorable about the lyrics in that there's not really any memorable one-liners or interjections embedded in this that the Beastie Boys have long been known for................I have to say the performance is top-notch.
The Beastie Boys, if anything, sound as vivacious and youthful as ever here. This sounds like something that could have fit right at home on "Hello Nasty" over a decade ago, really. All the members of the trio may be 45 or older, but they sound as though they might as well be in their mid-20's. They're just THAT energized here, and much more than makes up for the passable lyrics.
