It's okay. Those sales taken from HIAM went to the album sales. The song is dead already, I'd rather have the decent album sales :)

I believe this is how it works for iTunes and "returns" for singles. For those who pre-order the album on iTunes, the single automatically downloads to their computer- and it counts as a sale for whatever week. Then, when those who pre-ordered return to iTunes to "complete my album," that registers as an album sale, and the single that downloaded when they pre-ordered counts as a "return," as the consumer now purchased the full album.

Now, those copies do not get subtracted from the to-date tallies, correct? I still wonder exactly when that process began for the Hot 100. It was common back in 2005/2006 or so for tracks bought in conjunction with pre-orders to see gains the week an album was released.
