^^^I like the stage set-up of that show better than the The View here in the U.S. On The View, the celebrity sits in the middle and has to awkwardly look at 2 females at a time while the two they're not looking at are shouting stupid and random questions to get their attention, and then it switches back and forth.

With this one, Carrie's just on one end, which (looks like it) works a whole lot better.

She will definitely be performing on Sunrise tomorrow. IDK about any of the others, though.

Yes, someone is capping the Sunrise performance, on CF. Because of the ash in Sydney, the airport is closed and Carrie is having to take a bus..for a 10 hr drive...to get there. What a trooper!!!

Carrie Underwood's Penchant for Punctuality 'Frightens People'

While it's normally a given that celebrities are never on time, Carrie Underwood proves this stereotype wrong. In Nashville for Billboard's Country Music Summit last week, Carrie gave credit to her parents for her work ethic.

"I honestly thank my awesome parents," said Carrie. "It actually frightens people when I'm on time."

She went on to explain that during awards shows she takes many by surprise with her punctuality.

"Most of the people on the awards shows in country music we know," she said. "We have their numbers and call and say, 'We're on our way!' They'll say, 'Be here at 7.' It's like, 'OK, do you mean 7? Because we'll be there at 7. It's gonna happen! You watch!'"
Carrie said in the celebrity world 7:00 PM often means 7:30 or 7:45.

"Somebody told me they were recording with a very, very big artist and they were supposed to record at noon and she showed up at 4 the next day in the afternoon!" she said. "It bugs me. My time is important, your time is important. I want to be on time and want to be prepared."

While Carrie's drive is indisputable, she stressed the importance of those around her being equally present and organized.

"It bugs me when I'm doing a group number and there are 10 of us and I am the only one who knows the words," she notes. "I find that disrespectful. I want to give respect and get respected."

With numerous awards to her credit and her 'Play On: Deluxe Edition' album just released in Australia and New Zealand, Carrie's hard work and punctuality has clearly been paying off!

Loved that, too. She's really mastered 'Undo It'. The Australian performances have been a little more low-key than the usual - I'm guessing this is due to a different band being utilized for the promo tour - and I've actually quite liked that.

Carrie came in at #19 on Forbes The Best-Paid Celebrities Under 30 with 15 million. I'm sure that's an underestimate, but still.

Catching up on Australia videos...

I enjoyed that Circle interview. When that woman talked about her making the most money, Carrie's face was hilarious! And then the sarcastic "which is the important thing." LOL!

Awesome performance of UI on Sunrise. And awww at her comforting the interviewer about the bus ride. All this time I thought she took a tourbus-like bus... it was really a bus bus! 10 hours? Ouch!

SHE'S one of the richest under-30 entertainers in the US, yet country superstar Carrie Underwood is starting from scratch in Australia.

It has been six years since Carrie Underwood won American Idol and joined Taylor Swift to lead a new wave of country-pop crossover artists. Yet this multiple Grammy Award winner, who Forbes magazine estimates made $15 million last year, had no problems jumping on a bus from Melbourne to Sydney after being caught in the ash-cloud travel chaos.

Renowned for her punctuality - an uncommon quality among stars - Underwood was determined not to be late for her PR obligations, which included stepping off the coach after an overnight drive and on to the Sunrise set.

"This trip is step one. I wanted to make friends and familiarise myself with Australia and see if I can come back," she said.

The 28-year-old entertainer, who added acting to her resume with a role in Soul Surfer, wants to be all things to all people.

While there has long been a prejudice in America against country stars having their pop cake too, Underwood believes the tide has turned thanks to a new generation of fans attracted by Idol and the success of Swift and Keith Urban.

"I definitely feel like it is more accepted to be different in country music," she said. "There's a new wave of female artists coming through in country music who are bringing more people to what we do - that's always cool."

American Idol Carrie Underwood's surprise road trip

AMERICAN country music star Carrie Underwood has never toured in Australia, but she's had a taste of what life on the road here can be like.

The 28-year-old singer arrived in Sydney in the wee small hours yesterday, after the volcanic ash cloud over Melbourne on Monday forced her entourage to travel by bus instead of plane on her first visit to Australia.

"We got to see a bit of the land I wasn't expecting to see," said Underwood, who is here to promote an updated version of her third album, Play On.

The singer, winner of American Idol in 2005, has sold 14 million albums since then, making her the most successful artist to emerge from the worldwide Idol franchise, eclipsing Kelly Clarkson.

"I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster, but I don't want to get off," she said. "I've experienced so much in six years."

Underwood, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, got her chance on American Idol after driving for seven hours to an audition in St Louis, Missouri. After making the cut, she won every round of the competition by a large margin.

"I entered American Idol on a whim," she said. "I was about to graduate from university. I didn't know what I was going to do with my life, so I thought: 'Why not? The worst they can do is say no.' "

Since then, Underwood's albums Some Hearts, Carnival Ride and Play On and collaborations with country singers Brad Paisley and Randy Travis have earned her five Grammy awards.

But she isn't taking anything for granted.

"I don't know if you ever feel completely comfortable in the entertainment business," she said. "You never know when something will come along and you realise you still have a lot to learn."

She admits success has changed her. "It would be impossible to not let it affect you," she said. "I was 22 when I was on American Idol and now I'm 28. That's a huge growth period in someone's life. I've grown up a lot and learned a lot about myself."

She married US ice hockey star Mike Fisher last year. "There's someone else to think about now before I schedule shows. I don't think it will change my work that much, though."

After her brief stint in Australia, she would like to come back. "I would love to tour here," she said. "This is the first step."

There's some speculation that she's going to take more time, but by the same token she's also said that she's going to jump into the recording studio this summer, so it's 50/50 right now as to whether she'll release this winter or not. I can definitely see a lead single coming out after Remind Me peaks at the end of fall.
