Julianne Hough's unreleased "Wildfire" album just leaked. It includes the Carrie co-writen song " I'll Be The DJ". It must have leaked a while ago when her phone got hacked. All her new music from her upcoming album was in her phone. Didn't realize Carrie's co write was that single. It's a fast upbeat song. I'll have to listen to that one again.

Carrie Underwood and Stevie Wonder? That'd be a CMT Crossroads I'd love to see, too.

I listened to Julianne Hough's version of "I'll Be the Dj" and I'm not very impressed. It's a decent song, but nowhere as good as anything on "Play On" (other than maybe "Unapologize") and the songs that are similar in style to it ("This Time", "Quitter") are much better, imo. It's very similar to "Get Out Of This Town", except not as catchy.
So needless to say, I'm glad Carrie didn't choose it for "Play On".

Wow, she sounded fantastic at that iHeart concert. Definitely one of her best "Undo It" performances to date.

Carrie-Underwood.org recently added 41 exclusive out-takes from last year's Women's Health & People Magazine shoots to their photo gallery: LA Eater reported a Carrie & David Cook sighting earlier this week: Sushi Roku: "Wednesday, September 21, 2011: American Idol winners Carrie Underwood and David Cook were spotted enjoying a casual meal at Sushi Roku Hollywood."

Here's "I'll Be The DJ" from Julianne Hough's scrapped album, Wildfire: Lyrically it's like a third-rate "Get Out Of This Town" & its sound gives me "Best Days of Your Life" - Kellie Pickler vibes. Overall, I'd say it's one of Carrie's weaker co-writes, right up there with "Kill The Headlights". So, yeah, not surprised that it didn't make the cut for Play On. Still interesting to see her co-writes being cut by other artists, though. Wow, she sounded fantastic at that iHeart concert. Definitely one of her best "Undo It" performances to date. I was thinking that, too. She really attacked the chorus.

I am in agreement about "I'll Be The DJ". It is nothing special and reminds me of a poorer "Get Out Of This Town". Everything on "Play On" was of better quality.
I also remember listening to "Kill The Headlights" as it was one of my favorite titles. We didn't miss much by Carrie passing on recording it. But it wasn't bad.

I'll Be the DJ reminds me of Shania's "In My Car (I'll Be the Driver)" from her Up! album, except it's not as catchy. It's a decent song though, but I'm glad Carrie chose not to put it on her album lol.

I don't like Julianne's vocals or the production of the song, but I quite like the lyrics. I still prefer Get Out of This Town, though.

Carrie blogged. - She had a writing session w/ some some writer friends today.
- There's a cute story about how she accidentally locked Ace up in the pantry earlier today. The title of tonight's blog is actually "Bad Mom".
- Some praise directed at Tony & Smokey.
- A meeting took place with the label regarding the status of the upcoming album. She mentions that it went really well & the album seems to finally be 'taking shape'.
- She'll continue writing for the next month or so in order to ensure that she's given all she possibly can.
- There's a plug at the end for Mike's book.

This is either going to follow NYN's releaset schedule, or, I hope, Adele's.

I'm thinking a lead single premiere at the CMAs (11/09/11) & an album to follow in February (Valentines Day, maybe?).

I think she'll surprise everyone with the lead single at the CMA's. That won't surprise me. I'm expecting it to debut there, and I'd be surprised if she doesn't. She'll perform "Remind Me" with Brad (YESS!!!), but I think she'll have a solo performance as well...or at least she should. And it only makes sense to debut a new single, rather than something like "Mama's Song" or "Undo It", songs that she's performed many many times already.

^^^Agreed complelely with jptexas & Jamie. I'm thinking that the lead single will be here in time for the CMAs since she's confirmed that the album is "taking shape" and she's already almost done with the album. It only seems fitting, to be honest.
I love UI to death, but it's been performed everywhere, lol. Time to give it a bit of a rest and keep it to the tours.

If she performs anything at the CMAs aside from the RM duet, it would have to be a new lead single. I hope she does; that'd be awesome!
