Agreed, 100%. It's rumored that they're saving the televised performance for the CMAs, which could be a good and bad thing because by then, the song will have gone through its prime already. A June release getting a televised premiere in November? That's a little too far off, so that makes me a bit nervous... I don't know...DYWS got a great second wind sales-wise after performing on Idol. I'm sure RM would see the same. Yeah, but DYWS got such a large wind the first time around because of the CMA Awards performance. RM, from what we all know of, isn't getting a televised performance for a while. I know RM is going to do well and hit #1, but I feel as though it could be a longer-lasting #1 and get an even faster run to the top if it got a prime televised performance. There's no Country awards show or event that's being aired between now and then, though, so that'll be a loooooong shot that something will happen between now and November.

Here's an extra confirmation. This was on the side of the page of the article that you provided ;) The last word is "Undo", so we've got the song.

Really nice interview with the Herald Sun. --- On finally visiting Australia: "I just think it's time for something new, broaden the horizons," she says from her Nashville home. "If anything, it's purely selfish. It's not like, 'OK, I'm done here, moving on', you know. I just want to do things I haven't already done and have fun with it." On starting a family: "Not right now," she says. "You know, we both are on the same page and we just want to be married for a bit and be able to travel and be able to enjoy each other and our careers and not have to worry about being so responsible because you can't go back once you have kids."
"So we want to make sure we are 100 per cent ready." On marriage's effect on her music: "I've never been one for mushy love songs," she says. "But it is impossible not to be inspired. I find that I do write a little more of those than I used to, I guess, because I actually know what it's like to be in love." On the upcoming album: "I'm definitely taking my time on this one," she says. "Right now I've been writing a lot of up-tempo songs. I will have days when I write two or three songs and they will just pour out. I feel like the album always sort of writes itself."

I got to hear Remind Me by a chance, I'm no Country fan, but it's great. Good move on her behalf. Is it released to build up momentum for the album?

Lauren Alaina revealed during a backstage interview with Yahoo! Music's Our Country that she would be recording a Carrie co-write for her debut album: Alaina wouldn't even reveal which producer she was working with Thursday, since she expects to be collaborating with several on her album and the lineup is far from complete. But she and whoever she's working with got four basic tracks recorded Thursday, and among the songwriters whose work she's cutting is... Carrie Underwood. One that Carrie just happened to be carrying in her back pocket? "She ran out of space on her album [for that song] is what they told me!"

Interesting how she said Carrie ran out of space on the new album for that song. I thought the album is still in the early stages and nothing has really been recorded yet.....

Rand out of space for the song? They've definitely got a lot of songs written then, a, or b, that could mean that they're starting to pick the winners. Carrie mentioned that she's jumping into the recording booth this summer, so maybe they're getting the songs selected already. ???
Who knows. Either way, that's really great news to hear that Lauren's recording a Carrie co-write.

... or maybe it's a song from the "Play On" era and this is the album they are talking about.

I'm sure the co-write Lauren's speaking of is from the Play On era.

'For The First Time' written by Carrie, Jerry Flowers, & Luke Laird was randomly registered over at BMI a few days ago. I'm guessing that's the co-write Lauren will be recording for her debut album.

I love 'Oklahoma Wind' but I'm not feenin' for it to get released or anything like some fans. Carrie should just work with Bill Anderson & Jon Randall again. I'm sure they could come up with something at least as good as, if not better than 'Oklahoma Wind'.

From what Carrie has stated about the album, I don't think it would fit any ways. I wouldn't say I'm worshiper of 'Oklahoma' but the lyrics are so heartfelt and have a more "traditional" feel to me than than nearly anything Carrie has recorded in the studio. In addition, the personal relevance to Carrie also seemingly would translate to an amazing live performance with Carrie's great interpretative skills. As sure as I am that we will not get a more traditional country or acoustic record in the near future, a few songs like 'Oklahoma' on the upcoming record would be a bone thrown to folks like me to satisfy my appetite, lol. Selfishly speaking, the thought of Lauren Alaina already recording some more organic or traditional songs so early in her career does make me a bit more desperate for Carrie to "be allowed" to do so....

Carrie performing "Undo It" on the Aussie Dancing with the Stars:
She did a great job. One of the better vocal performances of UI I've heard (though the CMT one from 2010 was still better), and she had a smaller stage so she couldn't move around as much as usual. But she totally rocked that runway and seemed very confident. Great introduction to Australia.

I liked that performance: her vocal was good but not her best- no pitchiness but a bit of breath issues; however, her confidence, sass, and energy were on fire and she looks smoking hot as usual. If anyone would be so kind, I would greatly appreciate a gif from 1:55-1:58 where she does that move. :o

I looked at Carrie's presence on iTunes Australia before the DWTS performance. Play On (Deluxe edition) was #4 on country albums and "Undo It" was #65 on country songs.
After DWTS, Carrie is now #1 on both charts! Play On (Deluxe) is #1 on country albums. "Undo It" is #1 and #4 on country songs. Woohoo!

At first, I thought "Oklahoma Wind" would be better suited for a male artist. But now that I really think about it, Carrie MUST put this on one of her future albums and make it a single. I think it's an extremely well-written song, and I think it could become a country classic, and one of Carrie's signature songs, right up there with "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats".
Although if Carrie did decide to give the song to someone else (which I would be really upset about), I would rather her give it to Scotty McCreery than Lauren Alaina.

A list of booking fees that include some Idols can be found via Degy Booking International. Not surprisingly, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are at the top of the heap. Wow awesome performance to introduce Carrie to Australia!
And I would think the Carrie co-write that Lauren is putting on her album is probably the one that was just registered, that seems to make sense. Unless if it was a song from the "Play On" era that Carrie didn't record.
As long as it's not "Oklahoma Wind", I'm good. That needs to be Carrie's hit!
