Excellent article, completely agree. Carrie is the voice of this generation even if it's not known by all or the most popular voice in the industry. She's the perfect role-model for any average American citizen.
On another note - The "Remind Me" video is now on itunes. #1 Country music video, #10 all-genre music video.

So Carrie is filming the duet with Tony for Blue Bloods today, as per a tweet from a hired bass player... September 23rd cannot come soon enough...

And by September 23rd, we should have Carrie's new single so yeah, can't wait for that either That all depends on how fast this process is going. Since Carrie has yet to blog, tweets haven't been appearing as much as usual to hint anything off, and BMI and ASCAP have been dry as bones lately when it comes to new entries, I don't know how much longer we'll have to wait, unfortunately. The beginning of September seems like a perfect week to do it because it'll give the song a solid 5-6 weeks to chart before the CMA promo comes around, so I'm still wishing for that release like you, but there's no longer any for-sure time that we can pretty much bank on.

Carrie is a "one-take wonder" so that should speed things up a bit, should it not?
Haha but in all seriousness I think they're deep in the recording process now, as history shows, her quietest time is the time when she's recording her music. When she's writing, she still updates us probably because she's on a computer more. Now she probably gets up on a daily basis and if there are no other things going on in her life, she goes to the studio. Except for today because she's apparently filming "Blue Bloods"... but you know what I mean... I expect a blog sometime this month telling us a first single is chosen and the album is almost done, or that they're selecting songs now...

Is MS really "inspirational"?
I may be thinking more in terms of religion but I never pictured MS as an inspirational song...

I wish her HGTA performance could have been nominated for something. It'd be nice to see her get some industry credit for that...

New blog over at the FC! The ~important bits: - Praises Tony Bennet and mentions that she had a good time filming her cameo appearance with him for Blue Bloods.
- Confirms that she has been in the recording studio these past few weeks.
- There's a song that Carrie thought would sound best if the band were more "loose." Mark Bright suggested that they serve 'em alcohol, so it ended up being margarita day in the studio. She says that probably doesn't make much sense at the moment but that we'll know exactly what she's talking about when we hear the song.
- And...she's got about 20 songs that she absolutely loves.

-Happy about the studio work. -Drunk Carrie can't be anything short of amazing. -20 songs = potential for a legitimate deluxe album.

^Thanks for the tidbits from her blog. So I guess that confirms Mark Bright is producing for her again. I think we may get an album by Fall now. Or at least I hope! I'm glad she finally blogged! It's been far too long.

I'm just glad to hear that she's been in a recording studio. I was honestly under the impression that she hadn't recorded a damn thing yet. But, from the sound of things, she's actually rather far along in the process. So, yeah, an album release this fall is looking very plausible! And I'm already loving the sound of this "loose" song. And...she's got about 20 songs that she absolutely loves. Deluxe edition with bonus tracks, please Carrie?! Yessss. There's really no excuse for there not to be one.

I loooove that about being loose to record the song. I kinda feel like it shows that Carrie is working hard to make this a good, genuine record and not just playing things by the books, taking chances, if that makes any sense. Thanks for the tidbits. I'm very excited about all of this!!

Thanks for the blog info. I'm not a FC member (yet), so that was nice to see.
I'm predicting that the album will indeed come out this fall yet, probably late November or into early December even. I'm guessing they'll release the lead single after "Remind Me" peaks, and it's on pace to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 3-4 weeks...though it will probably stay there into early September.
The iHeart concert on 9/23 could be the perfect time to debut the lead single, but maybe we won't even have to wait that long. Still, that would be perfect, as it would EASILY be in the top 20 and climbing rapidly by the time the CMA's rolled around. The album could then drop right before Black Friday, or just after in early December.
We'll see. If Carrie's doing a lot of recording now, surely she can have most of it done within a few weeks...by the end of September at the absolute latest. But she doesn't have to have everything done to get just one song out, so I could see her debuting it on Sept. 23rd at the iHeart concert...or again, it could come out before that.
Two things are for sure, though..."Remind Me" is going to be DOMINATING the airwaves on Labor Day weekend, and Carrie's 4th album is going to be simply AMAZING!!! :)

That blog was good but I guess she owed us since it was so long since the last one.:) I'm really intrigued by the "loose" band song. I wonder what that is all about? First single maybe? Please let her have the single ready by Sept 4 Raivinia concert! HA!

I really don't think her label would let her or themselves miss out on the opportunity of holiday sales... So I'm not surprised at all to hear how far along she is! So excited, I love this time in the album making process as a fan, there is so much anticipation and excitement!!!

New co-writes over at Songfile!
One Way Ticket - Luke Laird / Josh Kear / Carrie Underwood Sunburn - Luke Laird / Josh Kear / Carrie Underwood Love's Out To Get Me - Darrel Brown / B. Chapman / Carrie Underwood
Anyone have any idea as to who B. Chapman is, though? It's Beth Chapman. She's got a lot of good s**t, too! Her biggest hit would be Faith Hill's "This Kiss", but she's also had a lot of album tracks with artists such as Trisha Yearwood, Tanya Tucker, Mary Chapin Carpenter, & Suzy Boggus.
