From Brad's latest interview with Taste of County: ‘Remind Me,’ your duet with Carrie Underwood, is clearly a standout track on the album. Why did you pick Carrie to sing with you on that song? Was she your go-to person to call?
Oh, yeah. I think we’ve become really close, having toured together and become friends and co-hosting the CMAs for several years. We just get along great and sing great together. She’s probably pretty much my first choice to sing with when it comes to a duet with a woman like that. I mean, we just sort of share the same values and get along that well. And also, I just don’t think there’s a better singer than her, so it’s sort of selfish to be able to sing with her and perform. Every take sounded like that [the final recording].
Are you considering ‘Remind Me’ as the next single?
Yeah, definitely. I think it probably will be. I don’t think there will be any holding it back. I’ll be very excited for fans to hear this because she’s off the radio right now, you know. She doesn’t have a current single out. So that’ll work out really well.
Still obsessed with the clip. Her falsetto paired with the slight twang on 'me' is such a neat effect.

So Teesharky from Carrie fans found this, well tweeted and got a fairly reliable source... So this semi-confirms she'll be on the Idol finale, but we've yet to hear of her and Brad singing "Remind Me". It would be foolish of them not to as it's the same week his album comes out. We'll see. Also, the finale results show is Wednesday May, 25th. Also, the finale results show is Wednesday May, 25th. www.tvrage.com/American_Idol/episode_listAll the sources I can find are confirming it is that Wednesday instead of the usual Thursday results show.

If Carrie's there, I can't imagine that Brad and Carrie wouldn't perform it. His album drops, it's great promo for him to get the #2 on BB200/#1 on the Country Albums (Gaga will get the #1 regardless -- plus, she was confirmed to perform at the Idol finale a few weeks ago), and the single is being released. It's a perfect recipe for outstanding promotion. I've played the :30 clip more times than I played CC when it was released leaked back in 2009. I'M OBSESSED WITH THE FALSETTO <3

OK. So, I'm still loving the clip to death. That being said, I am starting to think there may be a little glitch present in the Amazon clip. Something sounds a tiny bit off about Carrie's introductory 'remind me', specifically the 'ruh' in 'remind' (I hope that makes sense). It sounds like maybe a slight echo or something? IDEK. However, I seriously doubt Carrie's to blame because the rest of her vocal is flawless. It's just that one little bit that I only picked up on after repeat listens.
Hmm. I guess it could just be a little awkward of a transition. Not anything to fret over, though.

Did anyone else noticed that the duet is the only song you can't buy?? Only comes with the whole album!! That is weird and should change soon (if) when it becomes a single...

^ Well, it's smart really. They know us crazy fans are going to buy the hell out of Remind Me and they are trying to capitalize on that. I know I won't be waiting to buy it til it becomes a single but I was planning on buying Brad's album anyways. :) ETA: Did anyone have any doubt that Carrie wouldn't be on the AI finale, so I wouldn't consider that breaking news by any means! I'm surprised she hasn't been already.....

Does anyone have the audio file of the Cowboy Casanova demo that was leaked before the official version was? I've been trying to see if it's still floating around anywhere. I forgot how it sounded, and I'm just curious to see what it sounds like in comparison to the official version.

I, on the other hand, HATE with a passion these "album only" shenanigans. It forces people who don't want to buy the album to just download the song illegally. Moreover, it "disqualifies" the song from charting on the Hot 100, Country digital songs chart, and any other chart that takes single sales into account. Has such a tactic even been proven to be significantly effective in increasing album sales? For me, the disadvantageS faaaar outweigh the benefit (there's just one).
I'm a prime example. I'm in the Philippines; I only set up a US iTunes account to support Carrie's sales. I don't want to buy Brad's entire album just for "Remind Me" especially when it won't get credited to Carrie/Brad nor will it contribute to any chart placement specifically for "Remind Me." $9.99 is not spare change when converted to Philippine pesos. I'm begging you, label people, don't do it!!!

I forgot how it sounded, and I'm just curious to see what it sounds like in comparison to the official version. I've been looking for it as well. Can't find it anywhere, though. I had it once it came out, but lost it when my computer crashed. And I agree, the song should be available to buy as a single. It doesn't make any sense either, as 'Don't You Wanna Stay' is selling really well, while Jason Aldean's album is doing amazing too. If people want the album, they'll buy it anyway. And if they only want the single, they''ll find other ways to get it. But maybe they'll change it once it's send out to radio's.

The song Love Her Like She's Leaving is also listed as being album only on Amazon.
I hope this will change as we get closer to the album release date - they'll be missing out on huge single sales (and potential placement on the Billboard Hot 100) for Remind Me if they keep it album only.

So because it's sold through amazon as part of the album only means they will do the same thing through Itunes? This is a label decision?

Hopefully, we will be able to get it from iTunes as a single.

I'm sure they won't make it album only. it's shown as such currently because they still have about 12 days till album release.

Just expressing my opinion and hoping that it prevents "album-only" from happening. I'm visualizing :) By the way, I loooove "Remind Me" from that 28-second clip. Despite the high praise we heard before, I didn't want to expect too much. But I love it! After a few listens, the melody was stuck in my head already. The lyrics sound hot. I've always loved Carrie's head voice. Love it so far.

I was just listening to Some Hearts in the car, and it just reminded how great "Wasted" and "Don't Forget to Remember Me" are. I really think those are 2 of her best songs. Both are in my top 5 Carrie songs. I really wish she'd incorporate DFTRM into her set list next time around on tour. It might not be the most exciting song to hear live, but lyrically, it's one of her better songs.
I hope there are more Wasteds and Don't Forget to Remember Mes on the next album.

Carrie taped a video message for CMT's Disaster Relief Concert yesterday: Brad Paisley's This Is Country Music received an A rating from Entertainment Weekly: Brad Paisley is so quintessentially a country star, it's almost as if he has been engineered by twang-happy research scientists or tobacco-chewing aliens to encapsulate everything great about the genre. He's a sentimentalist, a rocker, a traditionalist, a singer of gospel and goofy novelty songs, a proponent of family and fleshly values, and a flame-shooting Telecaster hero. If his 15-song event albums were the sum total of country music, it would still be a pretty well-developed medium.
'You're not supposed to say the word cancer in a song/And telling folks Jesus is the answer can rub 'em wrong,'' he announces on the title track from his latest, This Is Country Music (out May 24) — and he'll get around to doing both. But Paisley allows the disease- or God-averse plenty of other options in the variety hour that follows. Guests include Carrie Underwood, as his flame-rekindling call-and-response partner on ''Remind Me,'' and no less than Clint Eastwood, who does steely lead whistling on the instrumental Western homage ''Eastwood.''
Shameless laughs come via surf-guitar showcase ''Working on a Tan,'' an ode to slacker hotties, and backwoods fashion statement ''Camouflage'' (''Being invisible to a whitetail is irresistible to a redneck girl''). While Paisley has a tendency to be too clever when he's trying to be emotional, there are honest tearjerkers here, like the post-divorce lament ''I Do Now.'' The whole record plays like a best-of sampler — not just for Paisley, but for the history of the art form.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with Carrie but there was another shocker on idol tonight and last night they show Carrie couple times during a I'm Coming home montage.

I wonder how/why they got the CD already. Anyway, the review doesn't really review "RM" (or many particular songs).
