I hope E.T. will outpeak WMN as the biggest airplay hit of the year.

what's the exact biggest airplay peak on mediabase for 2011? Looks as if E.T. will cross the 150M mark.

Is "Judas" done, or will it start reversing its trend?
Keep in mind that "On the Floor" is higher than No. 9, thanks to stations not included in Quick Cut giving it good play.
TTWE is faring nicely at radio- with the airplay, though, you'd think the sales showing would be higher, though.
"Mean" won't outdo its initial No. 11 peak, but it's faring decently enough- another country top 10 for Ms. Swift.

I'm pretty sure WMN? was able to peak in the 160's, I remember it reaching 164 million AI. E.T probably won't come close to that.

Lets say the maximum it could get is 100 million AI from POP, 25 million from HAC, 30 million on RHY and 10 million from AC it could potentially do it. But I don't see it peaking on all the formats at the same time so I'm expecting it to peak just under 155 million AI.

But you were also the one who didn't think JLo could go in the top 10(no significant airplay...is what you said) ET is a monster!!!! And damn Bey, release the video and move on :'(

Come on Britney, sneak in at least one week inside the Airplay Top 5! I think top 5 is inevitable...even top 4...I'm not sure past that, though.

This week should be close: E.T. 150AI + 250k RITD 100AI +300k
RITD is not really selling 5/4 E.T. cause the latter has too many versions to be accounted for. E.T can still be #1

^I did say I didn't see TTWE reaching HIAM's airplay peak. But then the track started making some larger gains, and, here we are. As for "On the Floor," we've all been through why the odds were against her, and we saw how slow radio was to play the track. But we've also been through the things that have helped the track become as successful as it has in the USA.

I hope "Rolling in the Deep" will not suffer the same fate of 'Need You Now" and "Apologize", they had the sales and airplay to top the chart but thery end up stuck at #2 for a lot of weeks.
And I really hope The Script could land their 2nd top 20 hit with 'For The First Time" and hopefully probably get inside the top 10 too. The song's chart performance is what I had hope for "Rhythm of Love","Marry Me" and "Waiting For The End", I really want to see a band song get in the top 20/10 soon

HolidayGuy is not "pressed" about anything, thanks much. :) And like most other people, I am not immune to thinking one thing and another thing happening. Scary, I know. Firstly, I never said anything related to either of those two tracks would happen with certainty- if I say "more than likely," that's what I mean. That leaves a chance for something else to happen- and in these two cases, it did. I'd think people understand that. In any event, one of the cases involved mega hype and promo on the No. 1 TV show in America, and also having a red-hot collaborator did not hurt.

She's not a huge digital seller because she doesn't take the time to perform her songs, the first week of FF's release is basically her whole promotion for this era(except for the tour).

Let us not act as if Britney's singles going platinum is such a bad feat.
The top 3 selling singles this year have sold just above 2 million copies.
Till The World Ends just crossed 1.15 million and is still going strong.
Let us not act as if Britney is being left in the dust.

However, being on a No>1 tv show doesn't guarantee much...looking at the sales of many idol winners and JLO's current album sales. There were people thinking her performance was actually going to help the early predictions significantly. Hype and promo definitely can backfire and some of the pop stars now are facing that unfortunately.

Till The World Ends just crossed 1.15 million and is still going strong. Let us not act as if Britney is being left in the dust. I hear you but don't even bother with Rodze. Britney is proving to have hits 7 albums in. Many of her peers who were supposed to leave her in the dust...well, I love that Britney is getting platinum albums and singles and just adding to her legacy. Whenever people try to come for her and act like she is being left in the dust just remember the amazing accomplishments that she has over her career. AND, the fact that she is one of the only people to have broken some kind of record with each album era. Check her credentials below. All she does is win!!! She is in elite crowd of artists that have 3 singles reach #1 (Janet, Madonna, Usher) and 3 albums reach #1 (Whitney, Janet, Madonna, MJ) in 3 decades. She is the only artist to have 7 studio albums enter top 2 debut week. Also, she is the youngest artist to have 6 #1 albums and only artist to have 6#1 albums under 30. Let's see: #1 albums 9-Barbra 7-Madonna 6-Britney 6-Mariah 6-Janet 5-Mary J. Blige 4-Whitney 4-Alicia 6 #1 hits Let's hope she can get 10 #1 albums before she retires. BOMT-youngest artist to sell over 6 million albums in the us. youngest artist to go diamond OIDIA-highest first week sales, youngest artist to have back to back diamond albums Britney-first female artist to have 3 of their first albums debut at 1. At 19, selling 37 million records WW becoming the best selling teenage artist of all time. In the zone-first female artist to have 4 of their first albums debut at 1. Blackout-f irst album to get hijacked for their #1 album billboard b!tches... j/k first female artist to have all 5 of her albums debut at either #1 or #2... Circus-first artist to have 4 studio albums debut with over 500k, highest digital sales for a female at the time. Highest jump to #1 at the time Femme Fatale era -firstfemale artist to have all 7 of her albums debut at either #1 of 2 -youngest female artist to have 6 #1 albums (under 30) - the first artist to have multiple #1 debuts since Mariah Carey - the first female artist (2nd artist overall after Usher) to have at least a #1 hit in 90s, 00s, 10s, -#1 albums in 3 decades -#1 singles in 3 decades -youngest artist to have 6#1 albums -only artist to have 6 albums debut at #1 -only artist under 30 to have 6#1 albums -youngest solo artist under 30 to sell 100 million records. Recording breaking touring (most successful merchandising sales for a female artist) Top selling female artist of 00s Most top 40 hits of 00s. One of the youngest artists to get a star on the Hollywood walk of fame Perfume sales: sold over 1 billion bottles and makes up close to 40% of all sales from celebrity fragrances. Rivaled by Elizabeth Taylor...that's it. And many more... At this point in her career, I am just happy that she is adding to her legacy and as Nicki Minaj would say as these little Itty bitty piggy's www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMZ5s7o2F88 oinking aren't going to change that Teeheeheehee... Bwahahaha.

You're right, there really is no guarantee of anything- but, the Idol exposure didn't hurt in propelling the single and maximizing exposure- that much we can say. Oh no you didn't list that paid-for Walk of Fame as a part of the "legacy,'"did you? All of the others are chart/sales feats, which is fine and impressive- but she has not really left much of an artistic legacy up through now, outside of a couple of singles. And she may not- but her chart/sales legacy (especially on a worldwide scale) is indisputable- most successful female pop star of the last 12 years and change.

It's hard to find a female artist who is still successful, 12 years since her debut career and still going strong, scoring top 10 hits, having platinum singles, #1 album, etc. I don't care whether Britney has not really left much of an artistic legacy up through now. Cos like it or not, being successful is not always related to artistic legacy.

In any event, one of the cases involved mega hype and promo on the No. 1 TV show in America, and also having a red-hot collaborator did not hurt. You knew about the collaborator and the promo from day one and still you kept saying it wouldn't even chart on airplay 100. It's not like "oh, I thought it would flop because I didn't know she promoted it on AI"
