Katie Perry's LFN is not very good. I'm not surprised it's stuggling. If all artists could be so lucky enough to struggle in the same way Katy is right now with LFN. A song with now adds date already top 40 and already getting sales from a strong early reaction yet it's struggling. Meanwhile the previous single is still entrenched in the Top 3 and it appears it will be that way for some time to come. I think by August LFN will hit #1 if not sooner....as in July. |

Does an "adds date" really matter much anymore? Radio stations know songs that are coming out weeks in advance (otherwise it would have 0 spins). The song is going to be fine, but needs E.T. to drop quite a bit before it really catches on. People really can't think Katy can have a 13k spin song and another 10k spin song at the same time?

I think it would be a decent-sized hit, but not to an extent of a summer smash. Maybe top 20 hit. I'm still very surprised GME is potentially the next #1. Doesn't even sounds like a top 5 hit IMO. |

That Pitbull/Neyo single fits in with the current trends at top 40 radio, so I'm not surprised it's doing as well as it is (I personally don't care for it, but...)
The video's already premiered for "I'm into You," so that takes away from the "excitement" some as it heads into its official pop radio date. How's it faring at pop in advance of that date, anyway?

It was released for Adds to CHR but ended up going nowhere, even Look At Me Now got higher on CHR. Then they just scrapped it and released She Ain't You instead which is doing better. |
