I like it better than "My Body" which got really boring to me rather quickly.

Fantastic song, way better than My Body, IMO. I hope this really takes off.

Ok song. but I still don't get all the hype over this band. Most people seem to love "My Body" which just went recurrent but is still getting close to 800 spins. I never liked the song.

Heard this once a while back, and liked it more than "My Body" but still wasn't really enamored with it. I'll have to see how this holds up with me over time.

This one reminds me a bit of the Killers when its get to the chorus and picks up a little. It's not as immediate as My Body was to me, I still find myself singing the chorus to that one at weird times....like standing in line for new registration for my car....the lady behind me looked at me pretty funny.

wow, the singer is Middle Eastern. I was expecting him to look like the typical indie white boy.

He's Middle Eastern? I thought he was Mexican or something.

People often make that mistake. His name is Sameer Gadhia. So not Mexican.

I'm sure the dude was born in America and has parents from some other country, WHO CARES.
Anyways, about the song, I really thought it was a new Jimmy Eat World song the first three times I heard it on the radio, and then thought, "they don't have a new song", then realized it was Young The Giant. Great song, see this crossing over to Hot AC for a little play. This is a type of group that looks like they'll explode on the next album.

For what it's worth, the entire band looks like they could be Middle Eastern.
I wonder if that guy that sang with Sting on "Desert Rose" is still the only Middle Eastern artist to ever reach the pop top 40. I could see this song doing it.

Young the Giant is an American rock band that formed in Irvine, California, in 2004. The band's line-up is Sameer Gadhia (lead vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass guitar), and François Comtois (drums). Formerly known as The Jakes, Young the Giant was signed by Roadrunner Records in 2009 and released its eponymous debut album in 2010.

And matches the peak of "My Body." It'll probably also peak higher than it. I'm guessing #3.
Btw, this is possibly going for pop/HAC adds in November.

This would have made the perfect Grey's Anatomy song five years ago. Now, you have to be a talent show judge to score megahits with contemporary rock music, and I haven't seen anyone named Sameer on any of the ad's for those. But I wish them the best. I'm liking this track.
