Even though I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who cares about this project, I thought I'd update this thread.
Braveheart has been pushed back to early 2013 with a tentative release date of January 1, 2013. Seems kind of random to me but hopefully she'll use the next 6 months to regroup and release a single that she'll actually promote.
I read a blog post from someone saying that she should just turn this into a mixtape to get some publicity for herself and then try to get a deal with a major and I think that's probably the best course of action for her. Through seeing a great song like "The Woman You Love" flop so hard just because she wasn't that committed to getting it out there, I think we can see that Ashanti really doesn't have the drive or the hustle to be an independent artist. Not that I'm really surprised since she came into the game as Ja Rule's protege and Murder Inc. took care of getting her out there for the better part of the last decade.
Hopefully she abandons "Written Entertainment" or at least starts trying to promote her brand a little better. She should try partnering with Young Money and return to her roots as the token songbird at a rap label since we all know damn well that Christina Milian is not gonna do anything with that deal at YM.

Good for her. I don't really know that channel or any of the shows on it at first glance but it's a good idea for her to get herself out there and do some built in promo as part of a TV show.

Ashanti has just booked a series regular spot on the new season of Lifetime's Army Wives...WOW..TV is the place to be...plus she hosts Fuse News and today she is performing on Live With Kelly AND Michael on ABC !!!! CHECK IT OUT

The newest date announced is February 26th and the new single should be coming any day. Clearly, no one involved in this project is expecting it to make any kind of noise and is releasing it simply because it's a completed album.

why can't she get a reality show, jump on a couple of tracks a la Kelly Rowland and slowly rebuild her brand? She always had loads of personality to me. or maybe she just needs to fire her mom...
