anyone knows why havana dropped to 8 and why is there only 1 version of havana in the whole us itunes chart. 30min ago she had 2 versions in the top 10. The single version was deleted.

The single version was deleted. why? To drive traffic to the album page in hopes to drive up album sales. Her label knows what they're doing too because usually this happens immediately when the album comes out, but her label decided to keep the single version there for one more week so it wouldn't drop too hard and have to recover all on its own on the critical week to secure the Hot 100 #1.

Havana up to #4 and about to pass Supplies. The label executed that single deletion flawlessly.

Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, and Zac Brown are all top 20. There are several other country singers in the top 50. It's funny how country songs have higher and higher positions (and hold them) now that the rest of the nation is moving to streaming.

To be fair, many of those guys were always the few country standouts who were on the iTunes charts during the rap/pop craze.

To be fair, many of those guys were always the few country standouts who were on the iTunes charts during the rap/pop craze. Sure, some were, but did they hang around the top 20 so long? I remember some going high for a day or two upon release, but not usually hanging around. I mean, what has held country songs back on the Hot 100 is sales; they get top 20ish off airplay, but lag in sales. Now it's streaming holding them back. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think many did of the artists you listed. Country as a whole is more present for sure. Now, there is maybe 20-25 country songs on the charts compared to 5 and during a really good period 10ish. But Keith has lasted in the top many times as have Thomas Rhett, etc. It's more surprising to see the smaller lesser known names in country staying on the charts now proving what you were getting at.

“The Champion” back at #1 after its 2 min. intro video at the Super Bowl. Curious to see how it holds after this + throughout February with NBC using it for the Winter Olympics.

And the queen reigns almighty at #1. I’m cackling. :bows down: The Champion ( feat. Ludacris) "Queens" rarely hit the top without a "King's" assist.... Still surprised they haven't serviced to radio AND created a country mix with FGL. Not sure her new label has it figured out.

All I know is "Get Back" is my everything.
But I don't recall seeing Ludacris high on the iTunes in years...until he got on a song with Carrie.

I know Carries song was played a bunch during the Super Bowl, but was it ever mentioned by name? Justin surely should have gone #1 with some song from his performance especially bc he released his album this weekend. That ain't a good thing for him.

I don't recall ever having heard it mentioned by name, but that's a good point. Though anyone who can't work out the title by the lyrics is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. ;) But yeah, I thought the same. A basically throw away hype song specifically made for a single event, with no radio play and no promotion should not be outselling the halftime act.

Exactly what is Ludacris the king of? I know, right! It only reaffirms my point that female artists need an assist from a man regardless. There isn't a single solo female track in Top 20 iTunes - NBTS and ancient BY are the closest. There is a either a lack of support for female solo records or no interest from general public. NBTS at least is at 17 on most recent Spotify chart.
