I'm curious how well Linkin Park will chart now. Prince and George Michael charted a lot as they're big classics. Linkin Park is a classic for sure but definitely also more modern in regards to its audience.

None are top 100 at the moment, but if any of them are gonna re-enter I'd put my money on In The End, with Numb as the second most-likely.

I mean, In the end kind of fits best. It is the end of his life after all and it doesn't really matter what way their music went because he was a great musician!

As for the Hot 100, I'd bet In The End, Numb, Habit, Shadow, and Heavy re-enter.

They are rapidly increasing now. By late tonight they will have maybe 15 songs in top 100 and most likely a top 10 or 2

Ecen though I have 3 LP albums and still listen to them, I knew very little about Chester Bennington. It's a real shame, LP certainly stood out during early 00s and obviously continued to have a solid following hitting #1 on BB200 just 2 months ago.

True, but Chester is still an iconic element of LP even if we barely know him. Heck, it's hard to imagine LP without him so there might even be a break up of the band.

In The End should go up even further, it's their biggest hit and with the unfortunate events the lyrics takes a whole new meaning :(
Heavy is also sadly apt as well :(

I can never listen to Heavy the same way ever again, knowing what he was going through. It's a shame that song was never appreciated like it should've been, that entire album is great. Let's hope Linkin Park fans will finally stop throwing a hissy fit about the band's new stuff now that Chester is gone, and it sucks that he had to die for something like that to happen.

Honestly, I can totally see "In the End" getting all the way to the top spot tomorrow. It's currently #3, quickly gaining on "Attention," and is at 50% of "Despacito." "Numb" should also easily make top five, if not top three.
"Heavy" is also top ten now, by the way.

Not happening but In The End deserved #1 on Hot 100. I hope it gets #1 on iTunes - even if it is only because of the death

I wouldn't doubt that almost the entire Top 20 will be filled with Linkin Park songs by late tonight.

Not sure they have that many well known hits. Only 26 songs in the 200 now, many of those are lesser known songs

Lesser known? If they were lesser known, they wouldn't be on the top chart. lol They already have 10 spots in the top 20 and many are rising.

If they were more known, Despacito would be #1 and #2-#20 would all be Linkin Park This was in reference to filling the top 20, not that they did not have well known hits

Not that many people are always going to want to download songs they already own. I am a huge LP fan, but I'm not going to re-buy them because he died. And no, your post stated that the songs in the top 200 they had were lesser known ones.

Yes, some are lesser known than others, and will not get anywhere near the top 20 -- true statement You may be a huge LP fan but it is not like they racked up the #1 hits over the years - just because you know them does not mean everyone else does. Again I was referencing the dominating the top 20 thing. Sorry you are offended by that, I don't think it will happen because of what I said, their catalog of "well known" hits isn't deep enough to dominate the entire top 20 in my opinion (like say Prince did) Of course I can be wrong too - so we will see

The day following Prince's death, the only non-Prince song in the iTunes top 20 was Drake's "One Dance" at #19.
