Valerie It's a shame her best song IMO "Back to Black" isn't receiving the most downloads What's surprising is the chasm between "Rehab" and "You Know I'm No Good", and how close the latter is with the title track. It's true in some countries the title track was more successful, but overall she's far better known for "You Know I'm No Good". I was watching a repeat of Grey's Anatomy from back in March, and RHI was used in an ad for an upcoming episode. Looks like someone at ABC was having fun with this track. Wasn't there one episode that used, like, three of her songs in one episode, lol? |

^^ Katy is 84M ahead in AI so its like 84k differences in sales. Lighters needs a big lead over Katy on iTunes to pass her on Hot100 but maybe in 2 weeks when it's airplays will rise enough

No, it won't be a contender by next week or any other week in the future, unless something drastic happens. You do know how well it's increasing in airplay, right? There's more to the Hot 100 than just digital sales. And, actually, even though it fell to #3 on iTunes, its popbar is very consistant. It's just that "Lighters" is increasing. Really, at any moment, it could start crashing on iTunes, but given the fact it's still increasing in airplay like nobody's business and it's past digital history, I'd say it's most likely to keep steady for the next few weeks in digital sales. Eventually its airplay will surpass LMFAO's, and really, we're all focusing on the song's digital sales to make it go #1, when we really should be watching its airplay. |

"Party Rock Anthem" is really what is blockading "Last Friday Night" from the summit. When it is maintaining an edge even digitally, you know it'll be an uphill battle trying to supplant it from #1. "Lighters" is keeping him in rotation already but hopefully he'll release another single from the album If he does, I surely hope it isn't "Marry You". It's really not a bad song, but it'll be frustrating if something as obvious as that eclipses much more compelling records like "Liquor Store Blues". I highly enjoyed "Doo Wops & Hooligans" but especially after releasing the sub-par-by-his-standards "The Lazy Song", it'll be quite a shame if none of the remaining tracks that really punctuate him at his best surface to radio. "Drink In My Hand" has made a notable bow on the chart at #77 as an album track from Eric Church's newly-released "Chief".
That really says something, because Eric Church isn't even a superstar yet on Country radio (his last album went Gold primarily off of a word-of-mouth driven cult following, but hasn't charted anywhere higher than #10 with any single to date) and yet...........he has managed to land an album cut here.
I really do think both this track and "Springsteen" will eventually become his first two Top Five hits on Country radio.
