LMFAO will probably have a streaming advantage greater than 2M however. Yep, it's gonna be REALLY close.

It'll be funny if it ends at no. 1 after all the label desperation this week.
I would be more confident if LFN had outsold PRA, though.
We need bks with the BDS updates. =\

Because it ties a record if it happens, there would probably be some advance news. The longer we wait the less likely any record gets tied.

^ Yeah, but if it is so close as we think, they'll probably wait until SoundScan re-run their numbers enough times to avoid publishing the wrong outcome, then having to correct it later.

The numbers are rounded, so it can be like 2. LMFAO-Party Rock Anthem (160,499) 4. Katy Perry-Last Friday Night (155,501)

How can it be so close?! Why didn't Katy's label just release the dance mixes for LFN? They've been done for months and normally hot singles get their remixes on Itunes before the public has lost interest in the song. The extra 5-15k they would've sold would've meant a done deal for Katy.

Hot 100 positions usually aren't posted until the afternoon. Perhaps if a record is tied, a little earlier than that. Just because RiRi and her team tweeted about "S&M" going to No. 1 doesn't necessarily indicate the trend for all. Are we sure those are the final numbers for Digital Songs? I know the reported numbers often differ from these early, leaked numbers.

^I'm sure Katy's label will issue a press release real soon if LFN hit #1. Maybe in a matter of hours.

For those who want to make predictions and such, note that for last week's chart LFN had a 7.008m audience lead on Mediabase which ended up being a 0.2m lead on BDS. This week LFN has a 12.335m lead on Mediabase. That could mean a 4-6 million lead on BDS, depending on Latin airplay and any other monitoring differences.

Probably colson- but I think those tweets from RiRi and her team came the night prior, through the night or very early in the a.m.. I think right now, that they're on top of the chart game and points more than any act.

Sorry. Maybe for you, but not for me. As opposed to a gay one? We will keep all number ones from 2011. We just don't get rid of a number one because we don't like it. Only because he gets himself featured on every rhythmic-leaning song out there.

i don't care about people's underwear or sexuality (look during the years what Madonna , gaga, Riri etc. were wearing...(not wearing)) but i care and i reject companie's moves to grab No-1 's and make...history what's next? Maroon 5 ft. ...Beatles??? c'mon guys it's interesting for Billboard records be broken ...but not like this let me have my own taste of music...for example i 've heard S&M once!

I never was putting your taste in music down. I actually really find that disgusting in people. Gaga's outfits are stupid, yes, but they don't make you look like you're on welfare or parading the streets getting ready to loot some place. (Unless she's wearing her meat dress...) Record labels do that all the time. This is just the first time it's happened so blatantly in our face. I have my doubts "Dirty Diana" even got to its #1 position fairly. The charts are a game, and some labels just know how to play it.
