Based on the early radio updates and itune chart, the potential No.1 candidate for next week could be MLJ, PRA, and Lighters. LFN, Super Bass, and Pumped Up Kicks may end up with 4 to 6. What do you think?

LFN's been dropping like a brick all week on iTunes, it'll fall behind PRA again on the next Hot 100. PRA has been falling all week too.
I think this will be MLJ's week, as long as it stays strong digitally and keeps taking down the airplay gap. And then next week will all depend on the VMA effect.

Push- oops, I read the chart wrong. The airplay chart shows 40, but that column represents its sales ranking; it's actually SLY's 26th week on the airplay chart. :) It climbed 2-1 in UK airplay back in late March. Nonetheless, UK radio still indeed loves it, long after its peak.

I am shocked that Coldplay didn't take off this Summer with ETIAW. Even if the sales weren't consistently huge, I would have imagined radio would have shoved this down our throats, but the airplay never got higher than 30 million. I wonder what happened... the song was very radio friendly and catchy, at least I thought it was?

Very surprised that sales keep steady. I though when airplay increased, sales would drop cos sales were already big weeks before airplay made impact.

Coldplay's sound is a very specific rock sound, not unlike a U2 record. This is very polarizing to the average pop listener - you either really dig it or are indifferent and bored. I'm certainly not saying they won't have another big CHR hit... but it would have to be a stand-out unique record, like "Viva La Vida" was.
