Looks like it was sale-priced at iTunes last week- not sure if it was the same price it was when it returned to iTunes several months back. Same with Prince's Very Best Of, among others.

I wonder if WB has increased shipments of physical copies at outlets other than Walmart (it had been on hold for ordering for a while after Celebration's release).

LMAO, for all the critical opprobrium they pour over them, this album (which had pretty forgettable and non-smashing hits) has pretty much outsold almost all of it's contemporaneous (with the exception of Fearless and The Fame), including The E.N.D & I Am Sasha....

THey also have the three for one deals at music stores. I bought Butterfly, Rainbow, and Emotions for around $6/7. They should do that more with madonna, mariah, janet and other artists. That could keep it on the catolog charts for sure.

Yeah...it's amazing to see a GH be so consistent especially with the digital era but then again we are talking about a group that had their moment well before the digital era.

For more seasoned, established acts it makes sense. Newer artists should stay away from releasing GH since they are more inclined with customers purchasing digitally.

Yeah...her GH is doing well approaching 1M but she should have just re-released her last album with the two new songs. The GH is almost weird considering she plans on recording an album soon and she is not at a low point in her career. But, yeah I'm not sure it will have enough legs to sell 5M overtime.

The Gift should rack up some more decent sales, with SuBo releasing a new album in November. Sony sorta overshipped the album, having it certified at 3 million when it scanned in the neighborhood of 2 million, so those copies must be sold this year. :)

PTB, does Tony Bennett also have a holiday album coming out? His duets album likely will have some decent sales.

Carole King's album with James Taylor did fairly well, so I wouldn't rule out a possible gold album for her.
