Or as most people now refer to her here as "the other one". Anyway, this was a 5 week UK #1 and a huge hit in Europe and became a nice sized hit in the US too. What a shame radio didn't show any more love to her other singles as the "Rockferry" album was brilliant.

I hated this song from day one. I remember when I first heard about her on some forum... I don't remember if it was here or M4B, I thought this was the new Hilary Duff song and people kept nicknaming her "Duffy" for no apparent reason. But then I heard it and thought it was a mess.

lol I love Duffy, but when comparing the other material on Rockferry this is always in my bottom tier for me.

I like it, but "Warwick Avenue" was way better.

Catchy, but not a favorite. My mom was obsessed with it though lol.
I like more from Duffy than from Adele tbh. "Rain on Your Parade" and "Stepping Stone" are both excellent.

An iconic single from one of the strongest albums of the decade. Where did she go? It's been a good 10 years already.

I thought this was annoying. "Warwick Avenue," on the other hand, was so pretty.

I think she released a single via Polydor at that time, which was probably her last official release. She has zero updates in 2018 so far. I'm worried if she's once again struck by mental disease.

I remember this song. Haven't heard it in like 10 years. Wow.

I was living in Europe when this was out and it seemed so massive, arguably the biggest song of the first half of that year.
It was definitely made to fill the gap that Amy Winehouse was leaving as her campaign finished up.

I was living in the U.K. when she came out, in fact, her cd and Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" were the last ones I bought there. Duffy had the voice, the songs, the look, the throwback feel. She had the biggest album in the UK in 2008 (more than 2 million copies sold) and the fourth biggest album of the year worldwide. She won 3 Brit Awards and even a Grammy. I hope she comes back. "Rockferry" is a flawless album in my ears. I know the U.S. didn't warm up all that much to her but I don't mind. I love it enough for the whole continent.
