I'm conflicted: on one hand, I'm hoping they shoot for a fourth quarter release so her sales will be somewhat inflated, but on the other hand, the selfish fan in me doesn't want to wait another year for new music.  I want the lead single in May, with the album in July or August. (Similar timing to Teenage Dream would be great!) |

It's Avril's 10th year in the music industry next year so maybe they can release the new album around the same time she did 10 years ago! :)

It's Avril's 10th year in the music industry next year so maybe they can release the new album around the same time she did 10 years ago! :) "Complicated" was released in May 2001, so I'd be 100% on board with that. |

Based on LA Reid's tweet today, I have a feeling that new music will be coming sooner rather than later. I wouldn't be surprised if they adhered to a schedule similar to that of TBDT - lead single in February, album in April.

You mean 2002?  The fact that Avril is already recording should be an indication that we're getting new material very soon. :) Even Ciara is back with LA Reid! Both ladies were massive & kind of fade out with label mismanagement. Let's see what can LA do with Av & Ciara. Both started out when they were teens and are now in their mid-twenties, their careers are far from being over! |

Don't know if she's going urban like killingtime said but sounds more like she's sticking to pop/rock roots. Even if it's slight urban I wouldn't mind. That supposed leak doesn't even sound urban anyway. |

I'm glad Epic believes in her. LA Reid will do all he can do to get her to be successful states side again. Getting her on X-Factor was great exposure. I'm so excited for when she promotes this upcoming record.

Here's some good news for y'all on "Goodbye Lullaby"... it sold 368,483 in Japan this year, more than it has sold in any other country. It is the #13 album of the year over there, and those stats do not include digital album sales.

Everyone can say image doesn't matter, but I think it does for all or most pop stars. I actually think the way she looked held her back a bit last era. Literally all I saw written about her outside of Pulse was OMG WHAT A JOKE LOL SHE STILL DRESSES LIKE A 13 YEAR OLD HOW EMBARRASSING!!!!
You do NOT want that to be the response from too many potential buyers. I am not saying she has to suddenly dress like an old maid or anything, but I do hope that she steps it up just a bit caring about her image next era. I personally do not care what she looks like or what she wears, but I do care when I feel like how one of my artists looks holds back the music's potential.
