No, her and Epic are between Give You What You Like and Hello Kitty..because they sound so similar and it`s logical to not be between polar opposite singles that appeal to totally opposite demographics. It`s like they have a set plan of action now that the album tanked or something. It`s almost like that time her and her previous label were in between Smile and Push.

Avril says in this interview that Epic changed the release date of her album three times and that it was supposed to drop much earlier:

The feeling I get from this album is definitely a summer feel. It doesn’t really seem very November to release an album with tracks like “Bitchin’ Summer” and “Sippin’ on Sunshine.”

It’s funny because I asked myself if this was going to just turn out to be a summer record. We were doing a lot of writing in the summer, and I wanted to have a summer song, you know, driving in the car, good feeling, good times. For about a week I was writing songs like that. But this album has “Sippin’ on Sunshine” and “Bitchin’ Summer.” And then “Rock N Roll” kind of does have summer feel to it. The record was supposed to come out earlier, but they changed the date on me three fucking times.

I thought it was weird that the first single was released at the beginning of April yet the album didn't come out until 7 months later.  I wonder if she'll ever be able to put out another album without label friction and/or interference.  It seems like there's always behind-the-scenes drama going on with her and her label(s).

I highly doubt we will even be seeing a Canadian tour this go around, let alone a US leg. The Black Star tour was fun for her, I think. There were a couple nice surprises for fans too. Even though she practically ignored the real content of Goodbye Lullaby and just played the singles, her acoustic encore of Nobody's Home and Tomorrow were probably one of my favorite moments that I've seen from her.

Bonnie McKee just mentioned in a uStream chat that she and Avril have written together many times, but that none of their songs have made any of Avril's albums (obviously). Did we know about this? I don't remember ever hearing anything about the two of them collaborating.
