That's pretty stupid. I wonder if that was her management/label/higher-up's idea? If she doesn't want to be in the pop biz anymore, I hope her contract is over soon so she can stop being forced to do these ridiculous things... or stop doing these ridiculous things if it's her doing. She's had some great music but I can't help but feel like she needs to pack it in and move on for her own good.

Yeah, I think a lot of her upcoming US tour dates w/Backstreet Boys have an option for a meet & greet experience, and it's still pricey!

Does not include a ticket? So can you purchase that theoretically without going to the concert?

Between the embarrasingly pathetic video for Hello Kitty and the fan pictures debacle, this bitch has definitely lost me as a fan and I wish I hadn't bought Avril Lavigne the album. You may say whatever you want about Katy, Gaga, Rihanna, etc, but at least they seem to genuinely care for their fans, even if at the end of the day they may care as much as 0. Avril doesn't even seem to care and that is just offensive to the fans who got her to where she is now in the first place. So, bye, keep being rude and immature and you'll fade into oblivion even faster

It just seems odd that it would be packaged like that. I know why they'd do it like that, to make it seem cheaper, but it's annoying. That fan photo story is getting a lot of mileage but I can't help but wonder how factual it is, tbh. It seems like there should be more to the story.

It's not just one thing or another, just a culmination of everything and her general attitude over the years.

Avril Lavigne gets 'uncomplicated' for concert at Borgata Friday Posted: Wednesday, June 25, 2014 11:35 am By ROBERT DiGIACOMO, At The Shore For her fifth album, Avril Lavigne wanted to try something less, well, complicated. “What I like about this record is that it is fun and it’s light, and it’s not just about love,” says Lavigne, who performs 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. “I was in a fun head space and collaborating with a lot of new, different people.” The self-titled album (Columbia/Epic) also proved a game changer on a personal level for the singer-songwriter behind hits such as “Complicated,” “Don’t Tell Me” and “Girlfriend.” Lavigne, who had been single after an early marriage and divorce, clicked instantly in the studio with first-time collaborator, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Their connection went well beyond a creative bond — they got romantically involved and married in July 2013. “We became friends and it turned into something else naturally,” Lavigne says of her relationship with Kroeger. “We were working together, as we were getting to know each other, so it was really, really exciting. He is super talented and he is a very successful songwriter — his style is so different than mine and he is obviously a dude, so we have different perspectives. But it works well.” The new record also helped broaden Lavigne’s ballad-heavy catalog. Signed by Arista at age 16, the self-taught Lavigne earned a reputation for being a feisty pop voice who wasn’t afraid to delve into serious issues involving relationships, depression and death. “A lot of the songs that I wrote over the years were very, like, boy-bashing or break-up songs,” Lavigne says. “On this one, there are different subjects, like rock ’n’ roll, Hello Kitty — there are a lot of summer songs — I like that about this record.” The new songs are working well with her older material in concert, such as when she mixes in “Hello Kitty” with “Girlfriend.” “I like my show overall to be very energetic, and then I love to have a section of the show that comes down, and I sing my ballads,” Lavigne says. Having put her own stamp on her music from the outset, the Canadian native has expanded her personal brand to include a line of clothing and accessories called Abbey Dawn, as well as three fragrances. A portion of the net proceeds from some items benefit Easter Seals, Make-A-Wish and other charities via the Avril Lavigne Foundation. The clothing line grew from Lavigne being on tour in her late teens and not finding anything she wanted to wear in stores. The punk-inspired Lavigne didn’t conform to the typically blingy, wannabe-diva look. “My style was different than anybody else,” she says. “I remember, I would have to show up at a photo shoot, they would want to put me in girly things. I said, ‘I’m not wearing that.’ I had to stand up for myself. I said, ‘This is how I want to dress.’” Fortunately, then-Arista-chief Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who signed Lavigne to her first record deal, backed her. “He said, ‘Girl, you just keep being you,’” she says. Over the years, many of her fans have emulated her evolving look, from tanktops and neckties to miniskirts with Doc Martens boots to pink highlights in her hair. “A lot of my fans come to the shows and have the same taste as me. “They dress as I do in certain music videos. I’m really visual. I love creating and having fun with bright colors. Having Abbey Dawn is so much fun,” she says. As one who made the transition from teen idol to an established artist now approaching 30, Lavigne is looking forward to whatever comes next. “I am staying really focused on my career,” Lavigne says. “I feel really grateful that I have the opportunity to continue to make music and tour and do other stuff as well, whether it’s acting or designing or working on my foundation.” Lavigne provides big screen soundtrackIf Avril Lavigne’s songs conjure up movie scenes, that’s only to be expected — her songs have been featured in a range of films, including “Eragon,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “The Princess Diaries 2” and Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” Her experience writing a“trippy” ballad for the latter film and appearing in a music video for the song also inspired a line of “Alice of Wonderland” items for her Abbey Dawn clothing line. “It’s neat to be able to do that, to have a film to draw your writing, picking your theme or the inspiration from,” Lavigne says. “Most of the time, I am writing as a female from my perspectives and things I have gone through, and then if I have a movie to draw from, that’s great inspiration.” Usually, though, it’s Lavigne’s own life experiences or that of her mostly male co-writers that provide the back stories for her material. “I also work with a lot of guys and we sit around and talk and tell stories. (The process is) different every time.”

Avril-Chad Kroeger Divorce Reports: Avril 'Worse For Wear,' Spotted Sans Wedding RingBy Tanya Diente | September 4, 2014 9:46 AM EST Avril Lavigne's marriage to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has reportedly also gone down the rumour mill of divorce after the Canadian was spotted without her wedding ring on. Perez Hilton reports Avril Lavigne was spotted on Thursday, Aug. 28, on a night out with friends at a West Hollywood hot spot. Additionally, the "Rock n Roll" singer was caught not wearing the signature band that ties her marriage to Chad Krueger. The site claims she might just have left her 31-carat wedding ring at home. But according to Inquisitr, this didn't stop the tabloid from hinting that the couple could be headed for a divorce if one were to speculate on what the site wrote. "Avril Lavigne is always so lovey dovey with one-year hubby Chad Kroeger. But you wouldn't know it from these photos!" From the photos, Avril Lavigne also seemed "a little woobly and worse for wear" adds Perez Hilton. She reportedly looked like she was relying on her friends for support as she attempts to do a proper walk. However, Daily Mail was quick to contest that perhaps the Canadian singer was just having a little trouble walking on her sky-high platform heels. The site claims the rocker was assisted by her two friends as they walked the cobbled streets of Chateau Marmont. Additionally, it wasn't reportedly the lack of wedding ring that garnered the paparazzi's attention; instead, Avril's six-inch heels were believed to have grabbed the spotlight. As seen on the photos, Avril Lavigne had her eyes fixed firmly to the ground as she tottered arm in arm with her friends towards her waiting car. This is reportedly not the first time the "Hello Kitty" singer hasn't worn her wedding ring. According to a previous article from Inquisitr, sources told OK magazine that she hasn't been wearing the band these days. Likewise a "friend" claimed the 29-year old gets too emotional when she looks at her wedding ring. Inquisitr reports the couple is already facing marital problems and cited a source who claimed Avril and Chad have yet to reach their one-year marriage but already don't trust each other. However, Avril Lavigne and Chad Krueger have remained mum on the negative reports relating to their marriage. Likewise, their representatives have yet to comment on their rumoured divorce and marital problems.

Divorced twice before 30. Crazy. Maybe she can do some new music in light of this. Hope all is well.

Maybe they're trying to milk some cash out of her fans since the project sort of crashed and burned. Why would they be launching a new single at this point? Her tour is over (and didnt do very well anyway). She needs to get back in the studio and get a new album together with material that doesn't suck.

Avril Lavigne Suffering From Undisclosed Health Issue www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6397769/avril-lavigne-health-issuesAvril Lavigne is suffering from an undisclosed health issue, and reportedly asked a fan to “keep me in your prayers” during an exchange over the weekend. The 30-year-old pop star did not specify the illness from which she is suffering, and has yet to release a statement. On Sunday (Dec. 7), Lavigne responded to a tweet from a fan account that reads “#GetWellSoonAvril #PrayForAvril” with a simple “thank you”: The same Twitter fan account, @avrilmusicchart, posted a screenshot of what is reportedly a DM exchange with Lavigne that occurred over the weekend: when asked whether or not she is working on new music, Lavigne responded, “I feel bad because I haven’t been able to say anything to the fans to let them no [sic] why I’ve been absent. I’m torn as I’m quite private…. I’m not feeling well. I’m having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers.” A rep for Lavigne could not disclose the illness or its severity upon request. Last year, Lavigne released her self-titled fifth studio album, featuring the singles “Here’s To Never Growing Up” and “Rock N Roll.” Lavigne married Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger in July 2013, and Kroeger recently brushed off rumors that their marriage was on shaky ground.

Work has started on her 6th album. She is currently dealing with an undisclosed health issue.
She will be releasing her song "Fly" soon and recently shared lyrics to the bridge.

So an insider at Pop Justice posted that we shouldn't expect another Avril album from Epic...I wonder if that means she's been dropped? I see she's still listed on their artist roster, though. Hmmm.

Nice to hear "Give You What You Like" will be getting a radio push on March 30th. Hopefully if it does well enough at HAC, they might consider other formats.
