From her Qualifying Heat album (1984). This climbed to number thirteen Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and to number seven on the Hot Dance Club Play. You can easily tell this is a Jam/Lewis produced tracks, def. one of my favs from them on a general scale on their production work.

OHHH YESSSS!! LOVE this underrated jam. Definitely my favorite Thelma Houston song. They also did another incredible song on this album-- "(I Guess) It Must Be Love". 80s Jam and Lewis beats all. <3

lol get out of my head! haha that is my second fav. song of the album, and then next is this one...
The album collectively is not bad, but these three songs are my top tier favs. from it. And definitely agree about 80s Jam and Lewis being the best.

Even though "Don't Leave Me This Way" is her best-known song, this particular song is my favorite from Thelma Houston. That 80s Jam/Lewis sound (Janet, SOS Band, Human League's 1986's hit "Human', etc.) was great, only rivaling the Prince/Minneapolis Sound, when it came to 80s R&B music.
