I think Adele may have a shot at coming close to the diamond mark when all is said and done. I'm pretty sure she is gonna sell loads this holiday and might end up crossing the 5kk mark and/or coming close to the 6kk mark :) diamond might really be pushing it. she will eaisly topple 6 million and 7 million isnt too far out of sight, but 10 million is asking for a lot.

I think Adele will probably outsell everything that's been released since Usher's "Confessions" (eventually)

As long as SFTTR and RHI/something else are big hits at Top 40 and she has a big night at the Grammys she has an outside shot at 10 million after a couple years of catalog sales.

LMAO @ Joe Jonas. Everyone thinks they can be solo artists...think again. It's not really fair...the Jonas Brothers as a whole have declined in popularity, who knows how he would have fared, had this been released back in the day...

Plus, it's not like Jonas Brothers were ever BSB-N-Sync-like BIG- or even New Kids on the Block. Gratnted, their success came when album sales were not as high, but still- the band also weren't pop radio successes like those acts.

But his album blows...I doubt it would make a difference when he released it. Sure his tween fans have outgrown him now but had he bothered to make good music, this would not be an issue. To sell only 18,000 copies is beyond embarrassing.

They opened with 500k+ in the summer of 2008 and all their countdown singles went #1 on iTunes. And the "Camp Rock" soundtrack was a big seller. Less than a year later their follow up album barely scraped 200k and the second Camp Rock OST didn't do much and they've rapidly sunk into irrelevancy ever since.
JBro came into fame right when Miley Cyrus was releasing like 20 albums a year. These Disney stars never last long.

No, don't get me wrong, I haven't listened to the album or do I care for it or him, it's just that approving him this project when he's not popular is really dumb, the ladies are over those brothers it seems.

Exactly, all the pre-teen girls are onto Bieber now and have forgotten about JBro.

www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/charts-articles/chart-alert/chart-moves-coldplay-rebounds-on-hot-100-1005427302.storyThe Billboard 200: While Evanescence moves in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with its self-titled third album (127,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan), the act bumps last week's topper, "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery's "Clear As Day," down to No. 4 (88,000; down 55%). Evanescence is joined by four more debuts in the top 10, with "Idol" runner-up Lauren Alaina's "Wildflower" the biggest of the bunch. It blooms at No. 5 with 69,000. Outside the top 10 -- as usual -- a bunch of movers and shakers are worth noting this week: --Peter Gabriel: "New Blood," the pop/rock veteran's orchestral reworkings of his own songs -- including "In Your Eyes" and "Red Rain" -- sells 13,000 in its first week and debuts at No. 30. The singer/songwriter's last album of original material, 2002's "Up," debuted and peaked at No. 9. In the interim, he's charted with a hits package ("Hit," No. 100 in 2003) and a covers set ("Scratch My Back," No. 26 in 2010). --Britney Spears: Her new remix package "B in the Mix: the Remixes - Vol. 2" starts at No. 47 with 9,000 copies sold. That's quite a bit higher than the No. 134 debut and peak of the first edition of the set, released in 2005. However, the '05 album launched at 14,000 -- thanks in part to its release during the busy Thanksgiving shopping week. Also, figure that the addition of a previously unreleased song on the first album ("And Then We Kiss") sexed up sales, too. The "Vol. 2" album doesn't include any previously unreleased material -- just remixes of familiar, recent singles. --Erasure: The iconic electronic-pop duo's first studio album since 2007, "Tomorrow's World," debuts at No. 61 and at No. 6 on Top Dance/Electronic Albums. On the former tally, it is the act's highest charting release since 1997's "Cowboy" rode in to a debut and peak of No. 43. The new set, produced by pop singer/producer Frankmusik, returns Erasure to the Billboard 200 for the first time since 2007's "Light at the End of the World" spent just a week on the list at No. 127. Erasure recently wrapped a North American tour -- which ran from August through early October -- and is currently trekking through the U.K. Frankmusik is opening for the act through its Nov. 4 date at the Dome in Brighton, England. --"ZZ Top: A Tribute From Friends" -- The tribute album, celebrating the songs of rock band ZZ Top, drives in at No. 121 with 4,000 sold. It also bows at No. 7 on the Compilations chart. The set boasts tributes from Steven Tyler, Mick Fleetwood (covering "Sharp Dressed Man"), Nickelback ("Legs"), Daughtry ("Waitin' for the Bus"), Jamey Johnson ("La Grange") and more. ZZ Top has notched 17 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including eight top 40 hits. Their biggest singles include "Legs" (No. 8), "Sleeping Bag" (No. 8), "Gimme All Your Lovin'" (No. 37) and "Rough Boy" (No. 22).

Jonas Bros' biggest hit at pop radio was "Burnin' Up (No. 12 on Radio & Records); "When You Look Me in the Eyes" peaked at 16. They had three additional top 40 entries. By comparison, NKOTB had nine top 10 hits (including three No. 1s); BSB had 11 top 10 hits at pop (including two No. 1s) and N Sync had nine top 10 hits at pop (including two No. 1s).
Couple that with the lesser album sales compared to those "boy bands," and you see the difference.
